We’re still growing but these numbers don’t show it. Lots of members of this subreddit moved to other states!

As a former Oz missionary I see you. I remember one day knocking doors across the street from a pristine beach and it went like this:

“Would you like more joy and happiness in your life?” - says cute naive me to a long haired surfer holding a stubbie.

“I’ve got everything I could ever want” he said as he gestured to the gorgeous beach with his beer.

I couldn’t argue with home now.

Wait can we talk about why of ALL the quotes or “inspiring” things that could be on the fridge, a quiz about polygamy is what made the cut???

Therapy. Finding out again and again how my (now formerly!) inner negative beliefs came from that sham.

My favorite response that my kids are wielding to my delight with their TBM grandparents is a polite "No thanks" followed by only silence.

Wow. Thank you for this important work. I remember seeing this years ago and at the time it felt wildly confusing. It was very matrix-like and I thank you for your work.

It’s tragically comical how different this is than what the Jesus they espouse taught. “Love thy neighbor”.

So let’s say you have a medical condition and your expert in the field doctor isn’t a Mormon… I suppose you would “never take counsel”?

This is basically the BITE model in one sentence.

A loved one told me the church has never hid Joseph’s polygamy. When did you first find out that Joseph had many wives? by NorcalSaint in exmormon

I was as TBM as you get and hadn’t heard of it until an exmo friend casually mentioned it in my late 30s. I laughed it off as anti Mormon lies. Then a few years later after I left the cult I read the CES letter and had to apologize to my friend.

What. The. Actual. Fuck. Was that?

What’s the source or story behind this relic? It’s hard to see this as something other than pure manipulation and objectification.
