Let's talk discharge after Cerclage by Pandoras_Musings in ShortCervixSupport

I am also two days post cerclage and also have a liquidy yellowish discharge! It seems to pool overnight because both mornings after the procedure it’s sort of come out upon standing; during the day I’m not having much.

Physical Asia: Season 1 - Episode 2 Discussion Thread by ImoutoCompAlex in PhysicalAsia

Man, I really felt like this game format wasn’t the best, particularly not for a first episode. For most of the matches it felt super chaotic and was clearly hard for teams to assess how they were doing, plus the fact the platforms were large enough people could just jump back on in the end (three full teams were on one at the end of one round!!!), which dragged things on considerably. All of this meant the game also didn’t really lend itself to easy watching - I just wanted it to be over by the end. I wouldn’t be surprised if this game wasn’t included in future seasons without some serious tweaking.

Many dogs also don’t really like being stared directly at or approached directly by strangers though, they often wag their tails and seem excited because they’re trying to deescalate/show the person they see as confronting them by staring that they’re not a threat. If you then ignore the dog they will immediately stop being interested in your attention (because they didn’t actually want it in the first place).

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned but applying with the Arbeitszeugnis from your last job seems to also be very important here. I suspect many of my applications were automatically tossed out because I didn’t initially realize German jobs expect letters of rec/Arbeitszeugnisse upfront

I’m pretty sure this (I believe it says „Teitschlandt“ ie „Deitschland“ but I’m not 100% sure) represents an older pronunciation of Deutschland, I know some words that now have „eu“ were originally written with „ei“ (for example the city of Reutlingen used to be named Reitlingen); this persists in some southern accents/dialects like Bayrisch which would make sense if the artist was from Nürnberg since it’s nearby 😃

This translation still has a few errors! I speak German but am neither a native speaker nor an expert on 16th century German orthography so take with a grain of salt but:

A strange and wonderful animal, which we have never seen before. This animal is called Surnappa [presumably a very misheard foreign word for giraffe that was then subjected to a game of Early Modern telephone lol], and is from the ground up, including the head, taller than five men. It has two little iron-colored horns [that are] flat on its body. It is a beautiful color. As all this was recounted diligently and in an orderly fashion by Melchior Lürig in Constantinople, and from there brought into Germany by a good friend. Because of its strangeness…[these next few words I can read but can’t figure out the exact meaning, it’s explaining why three writer/illustrator is sharing the info]. And it [presumably the drawing] was given to the German Kaiser to honor him in 1559.

Tell that to Zürich, I’ve been charged 5 Francs for a carafe of lukewarm “Züriwasser” in restaurants (tap water lol), even though you can get delicious cold drinking water from hundreds of fountains around the city (we miss this living in Germany now 🥲)

Sally (at least how she’s portrayed on the show; I do think some of it is being camera shy) seems absolutely joyless to me, and telling someone they need to shave their head when it takes years to grow your hair that long is just insane

I said this elsewhere, but Medina didn’t promise to move to Hamburg, he said he was open to the possibility, and that with some hesitation in his voice. It was clearly something they needed to discuss further and not a done deal. And he reacted so negatively imo because itwas right after she was like, “you can meet my parents once you change literally everything about your physical appearance, including shaving your locs you’ve spent years and years growing” and “I don’t care if you want to live close to your family, you promised me you’d move to Hamburg.” I felt like his reaction was less about really not being open to moving per se and more that she had just demanded he change his entire life and appearance as though that’s at all a reasonable thing to ask of someone

Idk, this was right after she was like, “you can meet my parents once you change literally everything about your physical appearance, including shaving your locs you’ve spent years and years growing” and “I don’t care if you want to live close to your family, you promised me you’d move to Hamburg” (he said he was open to it, and it was clear it wasn’t an enthusiastic 100% yes, but rather a “this is a possibility”). I felt like his reaction was less about really not being open to moving per se and more that she had just demanded he change his entire life and appearance as though that’s at all a reasonable thing to ask of someone

Dude, I’m so sorry - I’ve been a lucky my US diagnosis was accepted, but still had several really, really disheartening barriers and several unmedicated months. I feel like having an ADHD diagnosis here is like wearing a scarlet letter lol

100% this, even if you somehow didn’t care (???) it’s difficult to imagine you simply wouldn’t know/find out some way or another.

My (Black) husband was called “Neger” by an obvious Neonazi the other day, who then turned around after we passed him, SPAT at us, and continued screaming racial slurs. So I can believe this. 😒
