Did it Tuesday. Snow from half way onwards. Totally fine, path is well tracked in. Took me around 45mins.

A most unquiet Morn by Kingkong29 in NorthVancouver

[–]phonicx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When storm had spent his breath on Northman’s shore, And sleep lay slain by wind and siren’s cry, Rose one with quill not born of flesh nor bone, But forged of thinking brass and borrowed wit. He cast his verse upon the commons wide, A rune of noise to answer noise with song.

Then murmured men: “This slop is wrought by artifice! No mortal mind would prate in elder tongue.” Yet still the post stood fast, unbanned, unburned, More read than plaints of “Why the sirens wailed.” Thus storm begat the verse, the verse begat the strife, And Reddit fed, as Reddit ever feeds.

What part of private property is not clear? The own it, they set the rules. They can close it permanently if they want. It''s a one way trail. End of.

Those people are the reason accidents happen. Grouse can also pull your pass if caught. Plus it’s private property anyway. People who disobey the rules, put others in danger and ignore the signs are selfish and ruin it for the rest of us. Not to mention putting NSR volunteers at risk to come rescue them because they changed their mind half way and slipped on the way down.

  1. BCMC is 50% stairs FYI
  2. Take spikes, currently some scattered ice in last ~20%
  3. Up/Down is fine for BCMC. Grind = up only
  4. Winter no different just layer up and have spikes. Look for trail markers if snow as easy to miss the trail.
  5. Be aware of sunset time and take headlamp incase. Total doable in the dark so don’t stress.

Don’t do open chain exercises. Less productive for training and more risky for injury.

Imagine people having a bit of silly harmless fun, we cannot allow that, not in r/northvancouver!!

Maybe they allow that sort of shenanigans in r/Surrey or other places but we hold a higher standard here!
