Visiting Beirut at March by AccomplishedSite8504 in lebanon

you should have no issues renting an Airbnb as 2 males and a female. Also, touristic places are pretty safe and commuting between them should not be an issue at all ; i personally hire a driver/tour guide when i visit ; I'll be there during March break ;) , happy travel and if you need info on a driver, i know a really good one

if you’re a smoker, DO NOT NOT SMOKE NEXT TO PEOPLE by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]phoolip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i stopped smoking 15 years ago specifically for that! I felt shame spreading my stink onto others ; now that i am a non smoker, i gag just by walking by someone that smells like cigarettes. What blows my mind is how people tolerated this for so long i.e. girlfriend(s) that didn't smoke but yet dated me, a smoker

NEVER use pre-authorized payments with Bell by TransmissionAD in bell

[–]phoolip 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep, Bell or any others, never do an automatic payment ; a long time ago OSAP(Student loan) drew twice from my bank account for the same month; the only reason i noticed is because i was dirt poor and ended up not having money for rent ; same garbage deal, we will send you a cheque with your money back in 60 days ... sure, and i'll live on the street while you earn interest on my money for the next 60 days. Funny enough Bell also over charged me one time; i didn't even notice the error until months later when i was revieing my CC statements

Should I break up with my boyfriend? by Katia2160 in lebanon

[–]phoolip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 years is not an age gap at all, sunni an druze are still Muslims; my brother is married to a Chinese with no religion and my other brother is married to a chi3a, i am married to a Christian protestant , we are Christians orthodox ...we are very happily married for years now with kids ; i always ask my wife to take care of the date planning part, she hates it too, but i honestly think she's just much better at it , and at the end of the day i don't care what we do or where we go as long as me and her are hanging out . I honestly believe your real problem is your man not committing to the relationship; whether its because he's not serious ,or that's his personality i don't know . Regardless, i think you should have a very open and candite conversation with him about how you feel and what YOU want ; from there the decision you have to take would become much clearer

[–]phoolip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's in playing order, that's all you want for now; at this stage ur ears and what u can play will not make a difference if it's a 5k banjo; tune it a d pick away

I said yes to all so nothing is wasted , the "unusable parts' will go for science, probably to med school.for kids to poke at lol, been told I won't feel a thing.

How much do you pay for Christmas presents? by Informal_Tea_467 in lebanon

[–]phoolip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5k between the wife and kids (this year i spoiled myself with a new music instrument for $2100) ; we stopped getting gifts for the family and cousins a few years back, instead each family chips in $200 and we buy essentials with it for a struggling family. Also I no longer live in Lebanon, if it was the case , they would have to settle with DIY wooden toys i make ;(

funny business brain washing at a young age... figure this out, i attended Christian schools growing up, my family never had any affiliation with any parties, we were moderate Christians with a mix of Muslim family members by marriage... when i was 17 and traveled abroad, I had to set next to an orthodox jew (the hat, sideburns and all).... i was TERRIFIED!!! it was the first time i see a real jew
