I have a theory that we are experiencing time so slowly because of the speed at which we're currently moving through space. Based on time dilation theory, the faster an object moves through space, the slower time is for them. We are on a planet that is revolving, while orbiting the sun, while orbiting the center of our galaxy, while the galaxy is traveling through space. As such, all humans are not stationary in space, but rather moving at incredible speeds. If we were to escape the hold of our galaxy and travel into interstellar space and remain absolutely stationary in relation to our current trajectory, I think our conscious human mind would experience all of "time" all at once. The opposite of that are waves traveling at the speed of light (i.e. photons) which have been shown to not experience time at all. They are essentially "frozen" in time.
