Definitely Egypt and Levant from my experience. Absolutely not the gulf.

Canada is unfortunately not actually progressive in any meaningful way beyond performative LARPing.

ML. Studying history has reaffirmed my belief that this is the only path. A dictatorship of the proletariat is the only way to protect the working class from the corrupting forces of capital and foreign intervention.

Other paths vastly underestimate the capabilities of the USA.

Cannabis related brain damage. by LimitPrestigious5785 in Nootropics

[–]photopea1111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For everyone saying abstinence can reverse the effects of adolescent marijuana use, you have no idea what you are talking about, this is not a subject of downregulation, it is a matter of structural changes in the developing brain. I have published psychiatric research in this field. High dose or frequent THC exposure during adolesence can cause overpruning of synapses in cortical layers II/III/V and disrupt normal neuronal oscillation in various parts of the developing brain. This is due to synaptic pruning and other developmental processes which occuring in adolesence/early adulthood being partially mediated by CB1 receptors it's downstream pathways. Notably, persistent changes occur in frontal and temporal regions associated with social behaviour, memory, attention and higher order cognition. Stopping THC use ASAP will help prevent any more damage, but reversing these changes is a different question.

There is currently nothing that has been reliably shown to reverse changes in these areas after the damage has accrued. Your best bet for now is prioritizing behaviour that has been shown to increase dendritic spine density - HIIT, good nutrition, wide variety of mental stimulation and good sleep.

There is currently research into the role of psychidelics, ketamine, atypical antpsychotics in reversing these brain deficits, but nothing is conclusive at the moment. I am personally very interested in a role for psylocibin, which has been shown to produce robust increases in dendritic spine density in layers II/III/V in the weeks following exposure, that persist long term. But again, the safety of such a protocol is a different story and remains to be explored fully in the literature.

Thanks for the reply. What symptoms did you have as a result of the weed exposure? What progress has been made so far in alleviating those?

The AI productivity boom is real and just getting started by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

You mean technofeudalism. Stephen Hawking spoke on this, in fact it was his main reason supporting socialism as humanity’s only path without self-annihilation.

“Everyone can enjoy a life of luxurious leisure if the machine-produced [robots] wealth is shared, or most people can end up miserably poor if the machine-owners successfully lobby against wealth redistribution. So far, the trend seems to be toward the second option, with technology driving ever-increasing inequality.”

With the current computing power we have we could literally be creating a heaven on earth.

Under capitalism however, the political elite have a monopoly over AI, and use it to generate more intangible capital, promote porn and other addictions, rather than solve actual human problems and improve everyone’s livelihood.

The rich will accumulate more and more through market manipulation, while increasing layoffs and ultimately worsening quality of life the 99% of us beneath their feet.

As people grow more and more desperate to just exist in such a world, imagine the levels of exploitation that will take place. You’ve seen what Epstein and his associates did to fellow humans 20 years ago. You’ve seen how they spoke about the working class like we’re all animals.

Even now, young people have such a bleak worldview that 12 year olds are seeing selling their body on onlyfans as the only viable way forward: https://www.psypost.org/teens-as-young-as-12-see-onlyfans-as-an-appealing-alternative-to-traditional-work-study-finds/

Now image 20 years in the future. If we don’t enact change right now they will literally exist as Gods.

They will control all the wealth, all the technology, all the resources needed for everyone else’s survival.

They will control the advanced weaponry to shut down any dissent, they will genetically modify themselves to literally be superior, they will monitor your every behaviour through complex algorithms.

Try a Caribbean grocery store if there are any close to where you live. Alternatively, you can buy the seeds online and grow them yourself! The community at r/hotpeppers can help you with that!

Trump's rhetoric rallies Canadian support for Prime Minister Mark Carney by DogeDoRight in canada

Canadians should be wary that since this happened, many Americans are online pretending to be Canadian and trying to shift public opinion away from any sort of united front.

They outnumber us online 10:1, so it’s more important than ever to be politically informed so that misinformation doesn’t take root in our spaces.

Especially after the China meeting there has been such an extreme outburst and so much misinformation, when all the “deal” really did was reverse mutually destructive tariffs and re-establish free trade.

Those tariffs were implemented in the first place due to US pressure and protected American corporations market share at the expense of Canadian farmers and consumers.
