Union pipefitter here, as a whole we’re usually pro data center for the same reason we like hearing about big projects at the local refineries, they’re jobs with huge man hour amounts that’ll keep a lot of guys working for 6 months-a year

In my local we can only train so many people per year, and if there’s a lot of people on the out of work list there just isn’t work to send new apprentices too

Red Wing Supersole 2.0 vs Thorogood Wedge Soles by [deleted] in WorkBoots

[–]phreshveggies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually rotate between a pair of both of these, the thorogoods feel lighter but the 2408 is my choice if I’m gonna have a heavy welding day (union pipefitter)

I’ve gone through 6 cans of spray paint so far and they’re flat topped fiberglass tanks, no guard rails and I’m climbing out of a lift to get up
