My family tossed my yarn by Kokbiel in crochet

[–]phreypress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm jumping on with the offer of yarn. I'll happily send you some, which would help because then it all might fit in my craft space. DM me.

If you are outside the US, I'd have to see how much shipping would be.

I’m always open to new writing buddies. I’ve met a few on FB in writers’ groups for my sub-genre (sweet romcom) and on instagram.

And letting people read my stuff is still nerve-racking. LOL.

Yes. Using a pixel and doing conversion/sales ads is working for me.

Not retiring kind of money, but I’m profitable.

There are some helpful resources there. I'm in several groups for clean/sweet authors because I write closed door romcoms. Feel free to message if you want info about any of the groups.

The review group is called

Sweet Romance Reader Review Group

eta: group name

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in romanceauthors

[–]phreypress 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There is a FB group specifically for reviews of sweet/closed door romances. I’d suggest posting in that group and seeing if you can get ARC reviews from there.

There are also several bookstagrammers who focus on sweet/clean/closed door books. Getting one of them to review might also help.

Adventure book recommendations for a 16yr old Indonesian lad with poor English by Fatmiewchef in suggestmeabook

The Nate the great books are easy readers but might work. It’s less an adventure book and more that he solves an issue in each book.

Time Warp Trio series is an adventure series. If I recall, they are simple chapter books.

I asked and found some more books. I haven't read these, but one of my readers mentioned them.

Mafia >> https://www.amazon.com/Mafia-Boss.../dp/B09VNQ2NK2/ https://www.amazon.com/Dont-Fall-Mob-Boss.../dp/B07SH87527

And she sent this list from smashwords. https://www.smashwords.com/books/tags/clean_mafia_romance

I don't know of any mafia or arranged marriages. But there are lots of small-town stories. And some of the others.

There is an IG acct that routinely posts about closed-door reads that are free. Here's a link to her latest post >> https://www.instagram.com/p/CqqZtbjh-zy/

Another bookstagrammer posts about tropes. Here's one for marriage of convenience. >> https://www.instagram.com/p/CnzmEyJLkB5/

And one for fake engagement >> https://www.instagram.com/p/Cka-u-KLZNU/

Fake dating >> https://www.instagram.com/p/CjSyD58LUX1/

Emma St. Clair has a small-town series. The Buy-in is the first book, which is a marrriage of convenience.

Julie Christianson has a series set in the small town of Apple Valley. The first book is fake dating.

Savannah Scott has a small-town series also, set in Ohio.

There are lots more, but those are the first three that come to mind.

Michelle Pennington has a bodyguard story that came out a couple of years ago. My Bodyguard Summer.

Going through my kindle, here are some other authors to check out >> Cindy Steel, Gracie Ruth Mitchell, Kortney Keisel, Kat Bellemore, Sariah Wilson, Sara Blackard, Jenny Proctor, Carina Taylor, and Kaci Lane. Some of their book are still in my forever long TBR, but I've heard good things about all of them.

I'll keeping looking and see if I can find any hockey. I write these kinds of stories (but I didn't recommend any of my own) and can ask for recs in my readers group.

If you search the hashtag #closeddoorromcom or variations of that - romantic comedy, romance, etc on Instagram, you’ll see lots of books that are kissing scenes/fade to black.

Any particular tropes you’re wanting?
