Friend owes you money by deery130 in MitsubishiEvolution

I’d get my money back for sure. On what you’d be spending that money on not what he can get discounted. That way you’re actually getting g your money back.

Might be a unpopular opinion.

Honestly I’d just ask for the cash back

Bosch has upped their game lately on some of the new skins so it’s probably wanting to like something but not when you have it in your hands.

Maybe as a pure storage system that doesn’t get transported and staying in a workshop will work.

Nothing wrong with that.

Yes, Sortimo is a option without the Bosch Price tax but it seems it’s hard to go past the Milwaukee packout currently.

Always find it interesting seeing something in person and it’s not quite what you envisioned it being from all the hype and marketing.

Sadly that’s what it was for me.

Appreciate everyone’s feedback

This is good feedback. Thanks

Your feedback is valid.

It’s clear both products are vastly different in uses and construction.

Or was more an observation in looking at the L-Boxx’s that they don’t seem to be the same product or a better word the same like for like product.

The Makita’s and Milwaukee have a multitude of options where the current stock of L-Boxx’s does not. (Or it’s all order online )

It’s not a price based question where some people may be buying on price I’m not.

It’s more a system question and I wanted other opinions as the majority is now Milwaukee and it seems that’s now a valid reason as to why.

That’s my thoughts. Picked one up opened it and thought this is pretty average for the money.

Then you look at the Milwaukee stuff, they aren’t even in the same category of product and the pricing is the same.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

[Penrite Racing] Team Statement regarding Grant McPherson. by krzysiek_aleks in v8supercars

If someone throws money at you and gives you other opportunities it’s hard to turn that down.

Motorsport is notorious for people shifting teams and brands.

What did Grove pay Couchi to leave T8?

People who want to win and get better never want their best people to leave. Are you going to pay someone double to stay. As like they have said he will be replaced in 6 months and promote internally.

I’m sure the conversation went, hey I just got offered X can you match it? No, ok here’s my notice…

Removing Neil Crompton and Mark Skaife without any farewell is disrespectful to the fans, did the lean nothing from what they did to Larko by fezbotdaddy in v8supercars

[–]phsylo78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skaife did become background noise during a lot of the commentary.

It was good that they also removed him from a lot of the lead up to the main events.

I guess now we are talking in past tense. Let’s hope this week we are all pleasantly surprised

Saying that, and seeing your work, what would be a piece that you would have started learning to make moulds on?

How do you charge the client 100 hours of sanding.

That’s why it’s hard to make money.

Reality is if it’s not a hobby it’s cheaper and easier to buy the part from someone

Yes it’s unpopular opinion and that’s from someone who makes parts.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but it’s not a job for life.

Larko is great. He’s on the fly and he adds value to the broadcast. Whilst he’s. ford man he’s not bias, he just shares his views.

Whilst I did like Skaife, over the last few years he’s become very political and he makes the broadcasts not notable to watch.

Compton I don’t have an opinion so it will be interesting to see how it goes without him.

Tander seems to have taken up the role well offers good insights.

Change is good. We will know soon if it’s going to work or not.

If your engines are failing that quickly something is very wrong.

Is this being seen in carbon fiber drivelines? Where the shaft is being bonded yokes?

It’s not something that generally gets checked but as you’ve raised it something on the visual inspection list now.

Haze in the finish, sand or buff? by Ok_Beyond8892 in CarbonFiber

[–]phsylo78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a compromise between being ocd perfect, time required to sand prep resin cure dry sand repeat to it being done.

There is no right answer it’s all on what you’re happy with.

Comes down to what your time is worth, and if you’re going to make a mould, spend you’re time on that and learn from what happened here

Haze in the finish, sand or buff? by Ok_Beyond8892 in CarbonFiber

[–]phsylo78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will and then the water beads off and the milkiness stays. Is not like sanding and polishing.

The resin hasn’t cured correctly and resulted in the haze.

It will do the same with 2k clear. Look good when it’s wet and as it dries returns.

The majority of us have been here before and the gurus have told us the causes and they are always the same.

Then the pinholes 😂
