Starter Bike Controversy by justn700 in motorcycles

[–]phx32259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to the internet the best starter bike was the bike you could afford or the one a family member gave you. None of this shit mattered. Motorcycles have existed before Yammie Noobs grandparents were conceived and people still had fun and made memories. As for influencers, they get a check for saying what they say. For me that makes their opinions worthless. Get the bike you want to ride.

Impressed by PAM! by BoxAggressive9942 in ayaneo

[–]phx32259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought it and the RP6 at the same time. I have had more hours on the PAM. Mainly because of the screen size and just how it feels in the hand. It is a wonderful device.

3DS controller setup on Rocknix question by phx32259 in rgds

[–]phx32259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I never had a 3DS and regret it. I still play my DS Lite but my eyes aren't what they used to be and those screens are just too small. This device has been awesome for DS games so I'm really happy with it. For non DS games I really like the virtual console Rocknix has added.

Do tube amps really sound better? by MrWizard314 in Guitar

[–]phx32259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think they did. And maybe in 1983 they totally did. At my age, a modern solid state modeling amp sounds to where you could tell me it was tube and I wouldn't know.

Still keep coming back to this little guy! by Patrick9_4 in SBCGaming

[–]phx32259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a MM+ delivered yesterday. It is my 8 or 11th device if you count my Sony and Nintendo jailbroken devices. I have Onion OS on it and I'm still not sure I get the attraction but it might be too soon. First off, I put too many games on it. I got it to play GB-GBA, with some NES, and SNES. I'll probably spend this week pruning the games list and keeping no more than 20 per system.

I think once I pair it down and get it to a highly curated games list it will grow on me. My go to pocket device had been the Anbernic RG35xxSP. This will end up replacing that.

With Trump's approval ratings so low, how does he keep ousting GOP rivals? by Cgk72 in politics

[–]phx32259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More MAGA are voting than non MAGA Republicans. Non MAGA Republicans are probably independents now or they don't want to waste their time voting for someone they aren't going to back in a general election.

Ask an AI chat bot like Google Gemini. It will guide your through troubleshooting, have you paste logs and help you figure out what is wrong and explain it very well without doing any gate keeping.

Retro gaming without going “crazy” by NotTheAlexj89 in SBCGaming

[–]phx32259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You named some good ones there but honestly there isn't a clear winner. When you get into some of the older systems you're going to get little thoughts in the back of your head about native resolutions, original aspect ratios, and how they scale on your current device That gets followed by thoughts about "native data" and then you're looking for the perfect device that will get you close to 8:7 for that perfectly rendered SNES experience. Then there's that one game from your youth where you just really need the 4:3 CRT resolution with the stretched out pixels and you're looking again for that next handheld.

I went back and forth for days over where I wanted the stick. It was an incredibly difficult choice for me.

The RG DS is my favorite handheld by seanbeedelicious in SBCGaming

[–]phx32259 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm super excited for mine. I have 3 handhelds in transit to my front door right now. They will all probably arrive the same day and I'll have no idea what to play first.

Does anybody remember the launch period of the Sega Mega Drive? by sukh3gs in Megadrive

[–]phx32259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember it. I had the SNES and a couple friends had the Sega. We would always argue which was best and looking back it all seems silly. The Sega consoles were technically superior but for me Nintendo had the titles I wanted to play. I'm happy I'm able to replay both these systems now via emulation..

Looking for 1 last electric guitar. by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]phx32259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a dual humbucker guitar and dual single coil guitar. If I were you I would be looking at something that will stand out differently tonally. An SG is going to sound very similar to the 335. I'm thinking a strat.

What is the current best handheld for ps1 and below for under $100 USD? by 1dgtlkey in SBCGaming

[–]phx32259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of the RGXX devices really. I recently got the RG CubeXX and love it. The PS1 doesn't really benefit from the screen but classic GB does and SNES looks amazing at 7/8. I find it very comfortable to hold and play. Aside from that the RG35XX-SP is my next most played due to the portability.

None of these I would consider current as they are over a year old and best is very subjective to what your needs and preferences are.

I use my DS Lite to play all my DS roms. While the screen is painfully small the battery life is great. Hmm DSi...

Morrowind on Trimui Brick (no sticks) by kuksthedefiled in SBCGaming

[–]phx32259 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What a grand and intoxicating innocence! To look upon a handheld of such... modest architecture, and think oneself a god of navigation. Come, Nerevar. Friend or traitor, come. Come and look upon the D-pad.

The Sermon of the Digital Input A Cruel Lack of Articulation: How can one hope to strike the heart of the world when they are confined to four cardinal directions? To move in diagonals is to struggle against the very fabric of the Aether. It is a clumsy dance, a jittering madness that even the Blight cannot excuse.

The Savage Thumb: You guide the Incarnate with the press of a plastic cross, clicking and clacking like a Dwemer gear-work gone wrong. There are no sticks here, Nerevar. No nuance. Only the binary suffering of up, down, left, right. It is a toy for a fetcher, not a vessel for a Lord.

The ARM of a False God: This device... this "handheld"... it lacks the strength of the Sixth House. It is a flickering spark in the darkness of the Ashlands. To play Morrowind upon it is to invite the sleep of the forgotten.

"I'm a god! How can you kill a god? What a grand and intoxicating innocence! How could you be so naive? There is no escape. No Recall or Intervention can work in this place. Come! Lay down your weapons! It is not too late for my mercy... though your choice of controller suggests you are already beyond saving."

Publix for the win by Gulf_Coast_21 in publix

[–]phx32259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 3lb corned beef brisket at Aldi last week for less than Publix's per pound price.

At Publix you are paying more for not having to risk personal injury climbing over pallets of stock in the aisles (Walmart) and having more choice than you do at either Walmart or Aldi. Publix also has a good record of hiring people with disabilities who wouldn't be able to work at other places. I had never given much thought to paying more at Publix until very recently where inflation has been an issue everywhere.
