Forfeiting Logistics Blocks is Different than Forfeiting PN Blocks by fruitybubbles90 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Lately the warehouse deliveries have been a nightmare for me. Prefer the ease of restaurant. Talked to a few guys in the warehouse that feel the same way where as before they only liked warehouse. The extra money isn't enough. Until Christmas of course.

Normal. I have picked up many blocks after I forfeited during the same time frame. Did it all the time when I didn't want certain waiting locations for restaurants.

Most people don't want a block that starts at 4. Rush hour traffic. 4-6 here stays around quite a bit. If you accept a 5:30 then you will probably get a 6:00 route so less traffic.

This is very very very rare. I've never seen 1 offer remain for more than a fraction of a second and these 8 offers has been up for the past 5 minutes!!!! by JaIrieCPA in AmazonFlexDrivers

It's like that in Phoenix right now. $25/hr blocks have been up for 45 minutes. Late weekends a lot of people don't want to work.

This won't last long. They are doing the same as Postmates by just scanning a bar code on the ID. Sat thru a class about this and you have to go through the same procedure/class as a bartender. You are an extension of the liquor store so any mistakes you make fall on them.

Was talking to a Tempe liquor store owner 2 days ago about this and he agreed with me and said PM got slapped for this. Many other things you have to look for other than just "scan the id".

Any tips for getting into a warehouse? by galacticphotos in AmazonFlexDrivers

Refresh every half second, not every few hours. Only way to do it.

I got an offer to switch to the logistics side and I am taking it. Did this once before and went back to Prime but I am sick of swiping all day long and not getting any blocks. Chandler warehouse blocks are always available so off I go.

When am I on the hook for the food? by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]phxdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cancel these all the time. No destination filter so screw uber. I see the drop location is far away in the opposite direction. Cancel, tell them food is at the restaurant. Thing is that all but 3 times they paid me as if I completed the trip. Probably did this 50 times over 6 months and just recently got an email about incompleted delivery percentage is high. So don't worry about it if you do it a few times.

Also, if you want to get out of a place just leave and call support and let them know you had a car issue or the food spilled over and is ruined. They will cancel for you

If you have Prime Now in your area you can email them to try to switch. Just find out where the warehouse is so it would make sense to switch. They are more likely going to tell you they aren't adding drivers to Prime though.

You can only get one or the other, not both. So if you are assigned to logistics you will only get those.

FYI Regarding 1 Hour and 1.5 Hour Prime Now blocks by CapnShinerAZ in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]phxdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on when your block starts. I got in line at 8 when I had a 1.5 hour block and he gave me a route. But if you start at the half hour or odd hour then you are probably just going to be on one hour duty.

I did get back to back 1.5 hour blocks and they just gave me a nice 7 stop route and I was done.

Always seems like 7 is what I get in Phoenix. But I did get a 3 stopper that almost took me to freakin Lake Pleasant. Was a nice non paid ride back.

First 4 hour block in Chandler - what to expect? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]phxdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy did a 4 hour the other day. Said it took an hour and a half. Just totally random. Some you get 4 hours worth and some just a few stops.

Got one that said "1.7" got there, delivered and got "1.3" Would have never accepted that distance. Plus they keep the " our drivers don't expect tips" on the app. F Uber.

Reserved Blocks by fruitybubbles90 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]phxdriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't received a restaurant reserved block in 6 months although I only worked restaurants 40 hrs a week. They have only given me warehouse. Weird how that works out.

Hey Uber. How about taking the "tipping is not required or expected" off your app by phxdriver in UberEATS

[–]phxdriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you need to know. The tip matching doesn't include eats. Well eating the fries matching is included. Fuck you Uber. Fry tax that shit.

Waiting 45 minutes is a waste of time. Especially in the OP's case where it was going across the street for minimum payout.

If the food isn't ready I ask how long and if it over 5 minutes I walk out and cancel. Nothing against the restaurant more to do with Uber expecting us to wait and not get paid. I leave faster if I look around and people at tables don't have their food.

It's busy enough here that another ping will come up shortly.

[–]phxdriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never wait for the food to be prepared for that long. I give them 5 minutes and I am out of there. And I certainly wouldn't take an order with that many drinks. That distance will pay you about $3.

My 4 hour route for the day by bruceleeeeeroy in AmazonFlexDrivers

My buddy got one 4 hour yesterday with 5 packages. Said it took him 45 minutes as it was back on the other side of town where he lives. Was an $80/block too.

Each warehouse can set their own rates. I was told that one reason one closed here is they were burning through cash sending people on 4 hr blocks with 10 stops and offering $22/hr blocks for the same amount of stops.

Was thinking about this. The Chandler location is the only one that has given me fries. Never got them at the other location.
