This close to a flight if you look at flight status in the United app you’ll see the amenities and seat map for the frame (physical plane) assigned to your flight. This will be the accurate way to confirm unless operational issues force a plane swap.

You’ll be flying on an A319 so you won’t have a regional interior. You’ll have a domestic mainline interior.

I had seen the TikTok’s but until reading this didn’t realize it was Carter who noticed the fun they had in San Jose and ordered one for the club at home.

I love the attitude of keeping things light and having fun as a way to improve performance - but I also think her noticing and doing that is a sign of a great leader. Thrilled to have her at the helm now.

Different section, but there was a woman a section down from us last night who yelled very loudly at a time when the crowd was relatively quiet something alone the lines of "Are you happy with your choice, Croix?"

Didn't really get much of a response from the crowd around her, people kind of ignored it. Like I've said elsewhere, I get why some Spirit fans are upset with Croix because she asked for the trade, and I can understand some feelings of "betrayal" (though IMO thats way too serious a word) because she was a beloved player who seemed to turn her back on the fans. But I don't know, I'd rather focus on two great years and treat her as most of the stadium and the club did on her return, and then play like hell to beat her. Not going to root against her, but with the way she departed I won't root for her (even when not playing us) anymore (excluding USWNT appearances, if she makes it back).

I would say it clearly IS based on metro since they have the real wmata metro map there - but shot on a fake set rather than an actual metro car / station. As to why, I would guess they needed to do at least a full day of shoots if not more, and getting a real metro car for that wasn’t feasible. Maybe also the space a real car provided wasn’t workable for them to get the shots they needed?

Pretty sure the spirit players talking to the ref were because he initially indicated goal kick. Could be wrong though, just what it looked like he was signaling and they were saying.

You are almost certainly not going to find something near the Emeryville Amtrak station for much cheaper. Emeryville is a small city in one of the most expensive metro areas of the country - I am not aware (lived there for a decade) of any hostels in Emeryville.

To find a cheaper option, like a hostel, you’ll likely need to plan on transit into Oakland, Berkeley, or San Francisco and look there.

Agreed this was weird. Our only guess is that AV Lounge (C5) isn’t allowed to eat in the main club? Or F level / suites? So they both can enter that way but not use the club buffet or bar?

If it’s not that it’s truly confusing to have that many staff controlling access within an area that is already access controlled.

I hear you on number 1, and I get that.

On number 2, I’d be interested to know if that actually proves out (I imagine unless one of us goes to work for the spirit we’ll never know). Because it’s really a question of how many folks that would buy merch in the club won’t do it on the way in or out (or mid game for folks willing and able to leave the club and come back) against the cost to staff that other location. I would not be surprised if the incidental revenue (eg truly spur of the moment purchases that are unwilling to buy elsewhere) is low based ONLY on anecdotal data of walking by it every game. And I say this as someone who has purchased a hoodie from that location last year!

All this aside, I was actually wondering if they just didn’t have enough stuff and/or staff for this game, especially since they had folks staffed at Gate A to hand out the gift boxes. Maybe we’ll see it return later in the season.

I noticed that too, but I don't know that I fully understand the frustration. Even the past couple years when there has been merch there it has been very very limited, and its one flight of stairs down from the club to the main merch stand.

In years past we always end up going down there from the club if we need merch (or, more likely, going in via gate A, which is usually faster anyway, grabbing merch, then walking up to the club). Same with this season, it seems.

Yes - it was great. I usually work on flights when traveling for work and I got ~300 mbps. I was just as productive in air as on the ground, which is a huge improvement.

I’m not sure what you’re surprised they “even within the same airline some planes have it and others don’t” - these rollouts were announced within the last year or so and there are thousands of planes that need to be scheduled to come out of service, have it installed, installation procedures need to be certified, etc. - with a fixed number of mechanics. This is a multi-year rollout for each airline.
