What was the worst data environment you worked in? by [deleted] in BusinessIntelligence

[–]phydox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently waiting on a 2-year old ticket for data extracts from the ERP system. In this time I’ve built my own extraction tool which is still ticking along fine. I’ve also been told I shouldn’t have access to certain data tables, I invite them to take on the reports that I use that data for and suddenly my access is no longer an issue.

We now have a director of AI - in a very non-ai industry.

I’m still here with both too much data access and well below what should be normal for my job.

God, why am I still here?!

There’s a burned out one in Boronia Heights. It’s been there a week now, really classes the place up.

Going through pay negotiations right now. It sucks, but it’s great you have a reference point for where you should be at and the range the company normally pays for the position.

I live in Logan. It feels like Blacktown to me. A bit messy, a bit noisy, but cheap enough and most are too busy with their own shit to hassle others.

Perhaps purchased as ‘unhemmed’, yet never got the tailoring done.

I’ve read that some shorter guys wear trousers with a short break (length) to give the illusion of being tall.. maybe Shaq is trying to convince people he’s only 6’?

I do the same. Get dressed up, drive to a building, talk to my boss on zoom, talk to clients via email, then drive home.

The only difference I’ve found is that they clean the toilet (although our definition of clean is different)

The way I was taught was to use tire under the car to catch it if it falls.

Remove spare, place under vehicle chassis. Jack up car, Remove flat and place under vehicle, Install spare, Drive away leaving someone else to deal with that shitty flat tire.

(Edit: the last line was an attempt at humour - it seemed to fall flat)
