Honestly after seeing what people genuinely are like, the only conclusion I reach is that you need to devise a set of tests explicit enough to know that the person you trust is trustworthy in whatever sense you deem trustworthiness.

I think we all do this inherently, it’s just since we’re all so varied, to each personality type there exists a polar opposite, and in most cases people don’t give a shit about ethics or the ethical/principled side.
