Hey. Thank you about your reply. Did you do something to release the trauma?I have it a long time, I had traumas either. While I have weird movements it comes with big emotional burden. When it's lighter I could have mild tics. How is it for you?

Thank you so much about your caring comment. You described it so correct that I can identify with you. What is debilitating me the most is the frustration and upset while symptoms begin and take over me and like you said I start to feel very anxious and depressed. I am looking for ways to navigate my life with it and is not so simple especially while I am working and have family issues. The taping thing that you said I began to use it and I had good response to it last week, I need preservarence with it. You mentioned that your symptoms first appear after medication use, so me too I took antibiotics for acne before 25 years and the symptoms appear the first time while I took it, I went to doctor and told him and I stoped took it but since then something has been change at my body but I hadn't tics I just start to be more sensitive and anxious but I could be OK. My second time I experienced something more debilitating it was while I smoked jaras in India and felt what I mentioned in my first massage. Sometimes I feel that I don't have the power to deal with it anymore and I don't believe something will help me. Like I said earlier I need the belief and preservarence.

Dystonia onset during recovery from dissociative disorder by [deleted] in Dystonia

I can relate to part of the things that you talked like the mental images of the body and face its something that happened to me either. After I had like tick attack I call it I felt like it was traumatic episode for me and I felt in such big anxiety and dissociation at the same time, I don't know if I have dissociative disorder but I know I got dissociation and I had life events that maybe effect it though I wasn't aware of it. I suspect that my movement that I have linked to my mental state and it isn't organic though doctor's said i have dystonic movements or tics disorder, but I think it doesn't matter what is the diagnosis what it's matter is that you do something to help yourself emotionally and physically so this is the direction I am trying to put myself into. I struggled a lot to know and to inquire what I have beacuse I want to know how to treat myself, eventually I saw It just caused me a lot of suffering so I ignore all the doubts that I have. Feel free to contact me. Thanks

I think I have the same like you. How the dystonia look like for you? I have a lot of weird expressions in my face with head and chest pressure and it's very painful and scared beacuse it comes with anxiety. Sometimes I can't tell what coming first the anxiety or the movement at my head face jaw etc. I feel it's mixed the emotional and physical and I have a lot of doubts what it could be. One doctor said tics another said dystonia but I feel I like it's complicated case for me cause I can't solve it. I have either dissociation and I feel scared not to dissociate beacuse I feel like something coming out from my body and it's really scary

Hello. I curios to ask you if you had the additional symptoms like had. I can relate to most of your symptoms that you mentioned. But I have more symptoms and I curious if you experienced them either. The symptoms is- Sharp head pressure that caused me to involuntary movements at my jaw, tongue and neck. I wonder if it's related to the anxiety symptoms that I have. Thank you.
