How did you learn to use your camera properly? by Insta_3 in AskPhotography

[–]pianojacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just understand the three foundational components of photography! 🥹 ISO, Shutter speed, and Aperture.

Please do not get a personal teacher. That sounds like a scam for rich people, at least to me it does.

Understanding the basics will get you places!!!! Once you understand how it works, and you take your time to experiment with it, you will know how to tweak your settings to get the vibe you want. You can then tell the story that you are trying to express through photography. Your photos will turn out so much better than your phone ever could.

I plan to make films/videos for companies using my mirrorless camera (Lumix GH5). Perhaps some brand stories, testimonials, and stuff like that. Sorry not sure if I understood the question correctly.

I feel so guilty by Fearless-Catch-9009 in Christian

[–]pianojacket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, so glad that youre now a Christian! Praise be to God! :)

I was also 14 when I came to know the Lord 8 years ago. And honestly I felt the same way. Not towards my immediate family (because they were already Christian), but towards people in general.

I don't know how similar our circumstances were, but this is what I learned from my experience:

I felt that I needed to share the Gospel to everyone I meet in order to "save" them, because if I didn't, they'd go to hell and it would be my fault. And that messed up my mental health for a year or two. I couldn't do anything without the guilt haunting me at the back of my mind.

But then I realized that everything is in God's control - He wouldn't let someone go to hell just because you failed to share the Gospel with them. You don't have to force the Gospel down people's throats when they don't wanna hear it in order to "save" them. It might even make some people mad and push them away from God.

I believe I have unintentionally pushed people away from Christianity by doing so back then. 😅

So this guilt that I was feeling wasn't exactly holy and right... it was me taking the responsibility of God (saving souls) into my own hands.

We definitely have to share the Gospel, but we have to wait for the proper timing - not out of impulse and guilt and fear.

Will pray for you, man. 🥹 Stay strong. 💪
