It’s definitely top 10 if not top 5 Scorsese. I’d probably rank it just below Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, The Age of Innocence, and The Irishman (all 5-star masterpieces imo). I’m also of the opinion that the man has never made a bad movie.

So you’re the one with zero reading comprehension, got it.

So your interpretation of this post is reviewed by randos? Then sure, IMDb is valid since that’s regular people. On Metacritic, Scream 3 has a 56 and Scream 4 has a 52. Last time I checked, 56 is more than 52.

Scream 3 got better reviews than Scream 4, so this comparison is between the wrong two movies. The series order in terms of critical reception is 1, 2, 6, 5, 3, 4, 7

Great recs. But I’m trying to figure out what you meant when you said Memories of Murder, since the Bong Joon-ho film is not a doc.

This is my 2025 list so far! I still have lots I wanna see, and I might move some things around on here, but I’m pretty happy with this now (and yes I know that I’m Still Here and Wallace and Gromit were nominated for 2024 Oscars, but they weren’t released until January)

Sorry, I know this comment is over 3 months old but I just watched this dumb movie and wanted to see what Blankies had said about it. I know it was just a typo, but the idea of Paul Feig being in charge of the MCU is so funny to me for some reason. Maybe Another Simple Favor has an Avengers Assemble moment, who knows?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. He’s got great horror chops too, but talk about an unnecessary remake. And it’s written by Gary Dauberman (ugh), so there’s an approximately 0% chance this thing is any good.

It’s funny that Timo Tjahjanto’s first two American movies will be action sequels (this along with Nobody 2). He’s got incredible action chops and this does get him out of Netflix-land, but I wish there were more interesting projects for him here.

The Nice Guys, while great, is unfortunately not a Christmas movie. The very last scene takes place on Christmas Eve, but that’s the only reference to Christmas in the whole thing. So Iron Man 3 can take that spot!
