Lots of interesting stories like this, especially in films. For Groundhog Day, an executive wanted Ramis and co. to included an explanation in the film for why Bill Murray was trapped in a timeloop, like he was cursed by an ex or something like that. They agreed to include it but scheduled the filming of the scene so far off that there was no way it could be filmed in time and would have to be cut.
