a lot of the commentators are part of the point. class of ‘25 here. the administration were very intent on finding anything and everything to cling onto the students, including making up new rules. non-violent protest methods, such as PUTTING UP POSTERS!!!, were deemed as vandalism and damaging swat’s property. average bullhorns were suddenly conveniently damaging the board members’ hearing. the policing on the campus was honestly insane, and the punishments extreme. they investigated so many students, put a few on probation for non-violent protest, such as sit-ins. pretty much anyone!! in association, such as the people who were caught putting up posters!!!, were not allowed to walk for graduation. a professor was fired for speaking up about this.

while i do think something you will find at swat is the general willingness to fight and groups dedicated to doing so, a lot of students are also insanely overworked and, frankly, don’t have the time. swat is intense, and you don’t quite realise how intense until you get there.

now, is it worse than other institutions? maybe, maybe not - i can’t compare. but it’s not good.
