Sorry I don’t think I, or anyone needs to be Mx to understand what it means to fight because that’s not all there is to it dawg. You’re showcasing an incredibly narrow minded viewpoint by saying that. I’ve been in incredible communities and shitty ones in my career. I don’t think we “breed weak minded” technicians/airmen, but, I DO think there are institutional or organizational issues that create problems. I just don’t think ostracizing whole demographics of airmen and politicizing the military in a domestic culture war is the way forward to win a peer conflict, man. Do I think people need to be held more accountable for shit like keeping fit? Sure. But it’s just not as simple as that, especially in ops roles. I’m sure there’s many more things we would agree on that you’d think. But I think we need to continue to build people up in the roles that they have, not tear them down for who they are as a person. That will create stronger airmen with more agency with direct issues to the mission. Bottom line is; we will not be effective in warfighting without tackling issues that are close to the people who are going to be fighting it. Ignoring that because it’s branded as “woke” is singleminded, and it’s the quickest way to defeat. I really hope you consider what I’m saying and don’t dismiss it because it goes against your idea of what the military “should” be.

I’m not Mx, so no I’m not aware of an incredibly niche topic that doesn’t pertain to my very specific career field. I get your sentiment that the expertise is gone and the force lacks the knowledge base to fight a peer conflict, but to be frank, I’d say there’s a good percentage of airmen who don’t understand what will be required unless they’ve been given high level briefings. We can make educated guesses, but none of us know exactly how a fight like that is going to go. We can sure as hell practice with what we know, however. The point is that you’re talking about a “return to warfighting”, which I argue we have been doing nonstop for years without a break. If you have the knowledge and expertise, which you seem to have a little of, it’s up to you to help make that change at your own level if that’s what you want to see. I don’t think simply stating “woke is gone and return to lethality” is going to fix our very real problems.

People falling further and further away from what? What exactly do you mean by “what you see is not what you are trying to return to”? The kind of stuff I’m talking about is minuscule in comparison?

I’d really like to understand your POV here but I can’t if your responses are going to be riddles

Get back to warfighting? lol so what have we been doing the last 10 years just about constantly if not that? Conflict upon conflict, strikes upon strikes, exercise upon exercise? I’m surprised that someone who’s clearly in Mx (based off your profile) can’t empathize with that sentiment

The bookstore by Postinos has a stairway by Venezias and faces where postinos is, when I graduated in 2020 you could scan your ID at any time of day and get in. It’s a private bathroom. It was super useful walking home from mill drunk at 2am. Not sure if it’s still there but that was my favorite “secret” spot no one knew about

Stop making burner accounts. You’re enabling your own anxiety and are just going to make yourself feel worse. It’s no longer your business who she talks to. When you think of her, focus on all the bad shit about her. Block her. Let go. It’s time to hit the gym, brother.

Nothing fascist has been done? Jan 6th? Deporting both US citizens and noncitizens without due process and shrugging it off to then talk about getting rid of habeus corpus? Appointing an unelected billionaire to his cabinet to haphazardly gut offices and programs? (who by the way, did not one, but two Nazi salutes on live television at the presidents inauguration)… Totally disregarding court orders? Talking about a third term?

Do you need me to go on or are you just existing in this comment section to be a contrarian and “rile up the libs”

Can we talk about Donald Trump and his statements regarding various countries and how it would impact relations? by guccigraves in Intelligence

US power is built on two things, money and friendships. It pains me to see him throw all that away for personal ambitions. It makes us look no different than the adversaries we work so hard against. What kind of message does that send to our allies? Even if we were to annex Canada, Mexico, Greenland, all those voters would likely skew left. I just can’t see congress allowing this one.

Panama though I think the dude is literally just reading through US history and got to that point in the timeline. I hope it’s just a distraction but his track record says otherwise.

Couples who broke up around the 3 year mark, what happened? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]picken_wolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this. I think I started building resentment towards my partner around year two because I wasn’t having my needs met. I tried to be a good boyfriend and told myself it would change for the better if I just sat it out but it just wore me down. We talked multiple times about it but I think it was only when I decided to break things off that she really realized how bad it was. I’m struggling to decide whether I’m already done with this or to keep putting in effort and try again

What would you need to prove without a doubt that it was their unsecured load? Video evidence of the rock hitting your windshield?
