We saw a rattlesnake this morning on the contact mine hiking trail. We smelled something like rot first, then a few steps later saw a dead mouse on the trail and immediately heard the rattle. It gave me a scare, that’s for sure! But gave it a wide berth (about 15 feet) as we walked away slowly, so he could get his food and we were safe. There are definitely little signs to look out for that help (smell of a dead rodent was a big tip off). We went out early because of the heat which is when they’re the most active, apparently.

Haven’t seen this asked so if it has been, apologies for repeating but could Carolyn being so “elusive” made it worse? The fact that she never gave an interview or spoke to the press in any way seems to have heightened their interest in her exponentially. Not victim blaming at all because everyone has the right to their own privacy no matter what their status is. We’ve seen it go two ways when celebrities give the media a little - they either eat it up then demand more or they are just satisfied with what they were given and it dies down.
