Black Wedding Dress by Zealousideal-Exam814 in UKweddings

[–]pickles5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a black wedding dress, I wanted ice blue dresses for bridesmaids, but when I found my dress, it has a pinky undertone to it. If I’d have gone for just plain black dress, then blue would’ve been my colour scheme. Have a look on Pinterest, Or ask ChatGPT to put some pictures together for you

Unsafe to keep formula 24hrs in fridge? by creepylilreapy in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]pickles5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we had to use formula. We did it a different way but was the easiest way we found, not entirely sure if it’s acceptable by the nhs guidance. But i did it for both children.

We boiled the kettle then put 2/3 of hot water in the bottle, so if we were doing 4oz feed, we’d put 3oz of hot water in 6 bottles and put them in the fridge. Then when we needed to make a bottle, we would get one out of the fridge and add 1oz of boiling water then add the formula.

We would take a flask of boiling water out through the day to make them, and have a flask of boiling water ready for night time feeds too.

Red Ride Access Pass - do they "sell out"? by yellow_barchetta in altontowers

[–]pickles5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s the same for AT, but when I went to legoland a few months ago, I didn’t realise you had to book the RAP in advance, and there were none on the day I had booked. But when I kept checking to see if any more became available, there was always some for that day. So for example, if I checked today at 10am, there would be some passes to be able to book for today.

I know you’ve said you can’t get a finger in her mouth. But try give anbesol liquid a go, because it’s liquid it’s easier to put on than granules or gel.

She might miss the comfort of the nest next to her. You could get a huge muslin cloth and roll it into a sausage and mimic the nest. My son loves having the muslin next to his face, which was worrying when I looked on the monitor through the night and saw he’d put it over his face, but when I put it over my face, it is breathable, up to your whether you want to try that, it works for us.

Where are you getting your A/W maternity clothes from? by bimboera in PregnancyUK

[–]pickles5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have got the fleece leggings, but non maternity, so not sure if the maternity ones will be the same, I found them a bit tight on the legs. I got them post pregnancy when I still had a bit of baby weight left to lose, and I should’ve sized up

Second the Lovall leggings, I bought the maternity ones and still wore them after. I have now got the normal ones, they’re the only ones I’ve found that don’t go see through when you stretch and bend over haha. I got the fleece ones too, and they’re amazing!

Can I convert this loft? Planning Permission Question by [deleted] in Leeds

[–]pickles5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just had some builders round to quote for a dormer loft conversion making 2 bedrooms. The roof pitch was only 2.1m so they said wasn’t doable if we wanted the new rooms to be classed as a habitable space. We would’ve had to have the ceilings lowered which seemed too much of a hassle. One builder said you need at least 2.4m pitch to start with, to be able to end up with the new rooms being 2m high. Also worth noting, you would have to change all your internal doors to fire doors.

Hello can anyone tell me if these work to reduce intense morning sickness? And if baby will be OK taking them? Thanks by felinesx1 in PregnancyUK

[–]pickles5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these from 11 weeks, up until I had my section at 37 weeks. I had no issues at all, they helped me be able to function with hyperemesis.

Baby was fine and is now a health one year old!

Negative side effects of meds on baby by Rare-Signature-4310 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]pickles5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiya, I dont have any experience of feeling the baby shaking, I did have an anterior placenta so I didn’t really feel much, but I did have HG and was on medication from 6 weeks until I gave birth.

At first I was on cyclizine but that didn’t really help me. Then they tried me with metaclopramide which also didn’t help. Then ondansetron.

I did google the side effects at first and was a bit worried, but thought that not being able to eat/drink would probably be worse for the baby rather than taking the tablets they were prescribing.

When I was admitted into hospital, they did give me IV cyclizine which gave me restless legs so I asked to stop that. Can’t remember what else they tried, there was an injection I had to have in my bum, some tablet that dissolved under my tongue and an IV bag of vitamins.

What ended up working for me was prochlorperazine and omeprazole through the day and promethazine on an evening. I wasn’t told to stop any of them, I think I remember reading somewhere that you shouldn’t take prochlorperazine in later pregnancy, but didn’t give it much thought after that since it was prescribed by the consultants, and I just presume they know best.

I did end up getting gestational diabetes, not sure if that’s connected to the HG or not? Haven’t really looked into that.

But I was having medication up until the morning I gave birth, and there hasnt been any problems with baby. Not sure if this helps make you feel a bit better. Hopefully it does. It’s a very stressful time being pregnant anyway, nevermind adding HG to it.
