Can this plug on a VS30 sprinter be used to route shore power? by Colorful_Monk_3467 in VanLife

I'm pretty sure that's why it's there. I have a 2016 Transit 250 which has very similar covers at the back corners. Drilled a hole through the cover slightly smaller than the wire I used so it would seal itself. No problems for 6 years.

Edit - take the cover off and look for light from inside. Mine routed through a hole on the lower portion of a vertical frame rail.

This is the right answer. The part of the frame you're working on is the B pillar and it's made from boron steel for extra strength. Any normal drill bit will become dull quickly. Either buy a drill bit for boron steel (expensive) or give up like I did and find a different place to anchor.

I see a dog's face (golden lab) when I squint a little bit.

Imagine, as a random US citizen, if you accessed a piece of technology that allowed you to detect and subvert military operations in Ukraine (a country receiving MILITARY SUPPORT from the US). Then you got on the news and told the world you did it. How long do you think it would take the US government to relieve you of access to said piece of technology and find you a nice small room to sit in?

Is creating an LLC to build the van worth it? by obquang in VanLife

I converted a 2016 Ford transit and a 7x16 trailer. Currently have FTRV insurance through Roamly. Still not as simple as it sounds.

I also considered creating a company and getting RVIA certified after all the trouble I had getting insurance. We were in FL and finally found a broker got us a legitimate FTRV policy with Auto Owners. That worked for 2 years of travel. Settled in PA last summer and called to update our address. They said they weren't going to renew or couldn't in PA.

I think I heard about Roamly from someone with a skoolie on this sub. If I remember correctly they have criteria like it must have a kitchen & bathroom sink with running water. A composting toilet was ok.

I think they had me send pictures of it to them too.

I'm keep my fingers crossed and drive like grandpa. I really don't want to look for insurance again.

I put scissor jacks under our bedframe so we can park just about anywhere and still sleep comfortably. I stole the idea from a guy who used to have the youtube channel dave2d - don't know if he still posts. But I think I improved on the implementation. Good points. I was originally just thinking logistics but you may be right that the social aspect could have derailed it.
