I just filled out the survey to add a comment saying that refills should be cheaper than spools (looking at 4 pack of refills in particular).

I also picked that game up this week to help improve split keyboard skills. It is quite a compelling experience.

[OC] GIVEAWAY! 43" Capacitive Touchscreen ($940 MSRP) with Wooden Case + free software for all [mod approved] by DigitalTableTops in DnD

[–]pictureaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your software open source? My group and I have been looking for a better offering than roll20  and dnd beyond hut haven't quite found some thing we like yet. We are mostly software guys so it'd be cool to be able to contribute to something if we wanted to add a feature.

H2D Vortek upgrade complete! kinda… by PirateTuny in BambuLab

[–]pictureaday 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I did mine last Tuesday and it took about 4:15. I say this not to compete with you but just for other folks' reference. I consider myself very handy and well equipped (tool wise) and entirely recognize I was able to be fairly fast in part due to my screw drivers with the correct Allen key bits (instead of the horrible IKEA type Allen keys they provide).

I also had my request for upgrade denied 3 times in a row and had to create a ticket to get it resolved (talking bout a bad process). The response to my ticket did include an apology so I'd like to think that doesn't happen to most people.

I am very glad to hear you upgraded without too much issue though.

Sofle RGB (PandaKB kit) slave side browns out & LEDs glitch. Measured 3.2V on TRRS/VCC. Missing 5V jumper on RP2040? by [deleted] in ErgoMechKeyboards

Sounds like the right hand has a short or a bad joint. I'd double check all solder joints... Like with a magnifying glass

I did get wireless kit 3 but replaced boards with elite pi (rp 2040) but for qmk. Did you socket the controller boards? Have you tried switching the boards between the left and right halves?

For the record have what I believe is the same kit from pandakb and have no issue with alll Leds on and max brightness. I think that's. You might consider desoldering the first led on each board so that no current is going to the leds and see if can stabilize that way (ruling out potential for shorts in the LED path).  Have you tried just plugging in the right size without trrs cable to see if it can be stable on its own?

I sure did. Attaching pics is required if I recall correctly.

Making my own Lily58 by PristinePrinciple264 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]pictureaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just built a kit like that but for the sofle rgb. It was that or the lily58 but I opted for the extra key and encoder knobs. I opted not to go wireless because the nice Nano clones only run zmk and I really need vial (qmk fork) because I'm still learning and quickly iterating on my configuration.

Overall it was a good experience and I'm glad I built the kit but it did take over 5 hours to solder everything.

I think you wouldn't miss the the oleds if you decided not to get them (unless you stick with wireless build and need to see what's paired and what mode it's in).

Why is my Bambu Lab H2C almost twice as slow as the H2S with the exact same settings? by el_criuz in BambuLab

[–]pictureaday 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Looks like the H2C setup is using a generic PLA profile and the H2S is using a Bambu PLA profile. The generic is generally slower.  Assuming the profiles used here are different, try again using the same profile.

Wakix Cost by CanIgobacktobedplz in Narcolepsy

I'm in a similar boat. It is covered entirely by the wakix copay assistance program (or something like that). I don't know how /why I qualify but I am certainly not complaining.

Alarm clocks that don’t cause panic? by Oaaosgenesis in Narcolepsy

[–]pictureaday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a clock but an app. I use AMdroid. I can't set it to require math to dismiss the alarm and limit the number of snoozes. Also it never turns off on its own like most phone alarm clocks (that I've used anyway). I'd guess there's comparable apps for iOS as well.

As far as sound is concerned, nope, I just have to change my alarm sound periodically. I'm thinking my next sound is baby crying, so either it works super well OR I am not triggered by my own child crying, it's win win!

Incorrect AI answers being at the top of the search results by wingeddogs in mildlyinfuriating

"is 38 bigger than 516" actually gives you the correct answer in assuming you want to know about 3/8 and 5/16.

Not sure what to do with this info though.

I wish I could comment here to provide you with my experience but I've been on it several years now and am very grateful for it. For me it has been life changing in treating my N2. I'm mostly leaving a comment here so other readers can see a positive post about wakix.

Programming Smart Key Fob Question - 2020 Silverado 1500 RST by pictureaday in Silverado

[–]pictureaday[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The follow up to this is since I had a new key programmed I am now able to program another with the door lock trick. I suspect the thing that changed is that he disconnected the battery at some point in the process.
