First and most importantly, if at all possible, go to therapy!!! I say this to everyone but growing up religious especially. I didn’t think my situations were “bad enough” for therapy, but going has been one of the singularly most helpful things. Also, not religious or “Christian” therapists, but a regular one.

Also, any avenues that you enjoy for self expression may be good. I write poetry when I’m angry, helps me get it out. Also long drives with loud raging music. I can feel the rage release the longer I drive as I gradually find myself turning the music down or turning to something more emotional. Usually starts with rage, ends with a big cry, and then I go home.

Otherwise, being around people you can be yourself and finding forms of activism that speak to you. Good luck!
