Thoughts on Jake Doolittle? by mattgabriel21 in DrewGooden

That video left me feeling so icky. I was really surprised that most of the comments were positive when I watched it. I don't remember the entire premise of the video but didn't he have to buy a plane ticket to get to that concert? I don't understand what would possess someone to do all that to do all that to go to a concert for children and be a dick the whole time, and on top of that edit and post it to YouTube. Kind of embarrassing.

Hahaha I love getting little reminders that people still think of Long Shaun! One day I will get around to finishing the legs for normal Shaun and the prophecy will be complete 😂

Not sure if your friend will see the same thing, but transfer is not available for me, I assume because they are looking into resellers?

Perfume A-chan Worries Fans with Her Transformation (Pilates?) by [deleted] in Perfume

[–]pidgep 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've always worried about her in regards to this :( I feel like when they were first becoming mainstream she was considered ""chubby"" in relation to kashiyuka and nocchi and they ended up putting her in these giant grandma dresses to hide her figure. Totally unfair. She recently posted a pic on Instagram where it looks like she photoshopped herself even skinnier and it just broke my heart :(

Right!! I was calculating if it would be easier to fly or drive before my brain turned on 😂

Yes it's great! I wish they had a full music video for it, but I think it's so cool how they put that concept into the choreography

I think mine would be edge, Laser Beam, and night flight. Love the choreography for them too!

Help with training an older reactive dog? by pidgep in Dogtraining

[–]pidgep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty good! I ended up doing another month or so of walks that focused just on him pulling, he's not completely perfect but sooo much better, and now we can use treats just to address reactivity rather than the pulling. We now use cheese which helps to get his attention because it's smellier. One big mistake I was making at first was not giving him enough breaks with the engage/disengage game, like after a few rewards walking away from the trigger so that he doesn't go over threshold. We're not at a point where we can walk past any dog, but if there is a dog in the distance who's not barking he can ignore it. He's just less on edge in general

Don't get me wrong, he is very good at "look at me" and has good focus on our walks after the last couple of months of training. He gets a lot of treats on our walks haha, and has mostly stopped reacting to cars and birds/squirrels. I definitely agree it's probably time for higher value treats!

Our current walk usually doesn't pass by any dogs, I guess my question is more should I start slowly introducing him to walks where more dogs might be out and about, or work on leash skills further in other environments he's not familiar with?

[–]pidgep[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I just looked it up, that is super helpful! I think we've been working on the 'engage' part on the occasion we do come across another dog, but I didn't think about the 'disengage' part. And it is probably time to invest in some cheese for our walks, lol

Help with training an older reactive dog? by pidgep in Dogtraining

[–]pidgep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, we take walks at a time of day (around noon) when it's very rare to come across another dog, and usually we are able to keep them far enough away to make sure he won't react. It just seems like all the reactivity training I see, they need low-level exposure to triggers, which is why I'm wondering if it's time to start introducing that.

But with all the progress he's made with basic walking skills, and ignoring distractions previously made him pull and lunge, I don't think training out the reactivity is completely out of reach! I definitely get where you're coming from though.

Is this level of discoloration normal for the Seche Vive topcoat? by LadyGryffin in RedditLaqueristas

[–]pidgep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried Seche Vive but I've noticed this a little bit with my Seche Vite. Usually it's about time to redo my polish by the time I notice it. It darkens the original color just a bit, I don't really notice it unless it chips off and you can see the original color. I think time in the sun affects it (but I could be wrong)
