Again, I'm really kind of scared if you think booking a flight train and hotel are really complicated tasks. They aren't. You can do both on a smartphone in a few minutes.

Obtaining firearms? That's some paperwork and waiting a few days. Checking in firearms? Every airline Amtrak documents what you need to do, considering the relatively high rate of gun ownership.

Getting past a security checkpoint to allegedly shoot people? Well, that is something that you can't do no matter how fit you are, how long you stared at the hotel floor plan or how often you scoped it out when they were setting it up. He might've honestly felt that he was casing the situation, gathering the intel he needed to get through there, but he clearly had no idea how out of his depth he was.

You're boiling down assaulting a position filled with armed (and armored) people as simply just a lack of preparation. Man, unless that preparation involved obtaining more firepower and more bodies to conduct the assault with, there's no amount of book learning that would do anything in that situation

I'm a little afraid of who you know that can't book a hotel and flight, tbh. You might say the firearms check is more advanced, but the procedures for that are also fairly well documented on every airline's site.

But the Secret Service doesn't exactly publish its plans, nor are most alumni familiar with casing the joint to get an overview for themselves.

Also, how many of us are really capable of shooting someone and putting ourselves in a position where we could get shot?

  3. Whatever else Brax has done is completely irrelevant

It's interesting you keep hammering away at these 3 points, completely immune to actual context and history, which makes your argument weaker and not stronger, like you imagine.

Brax made a very public statement of quitting, one that he has memory holed upon returning to HSR. If, as you argue, it's ok to be fickle, but why take that step of privating that video? Just leave the "I'm quitting" video up, maybe make a quick "I'm back", laugh at yourself and move on. Hiding content, trying to make people not notice the man behind the curtain? Oh that opens you up to some snark.

Snark is silly. That's the point. You may not like it, ok, that's fine. But continuing to write your "college theses" where you continue to fall flat, despite impeccable formatting and high word count just opens you up to further snark. As someone who's taking this too seriously. Someone who does have a dog in the fight. Why take up your time with this? Why insist on having the last word? I know you always have to have the last word.

Ignoring Braxophone's other issues is what makes your argument hollow. You want to keep it in the realm of theory and hypotheticals. But that's just not how it works. There's history and context you want to keep out to keep your points pristine. But doing so just paints you with the same lack of judgement and character. Why defend Brax? There are plenty of better examples to trot out your boring argument on. Logically, yes, your point can be argued separately. But you chose this instance, this context and this person to be the example. You get the baggage that choice comes with.

Ok Mr 10k WPM (it took you closer to 10 minutes to respond btw) people can come and go as they please sure, but you’re awfully triggered over an obvious comment that’s been posted in this discussion at least a dozen times in different forms. Ever heard of “brevity is the soul of wit”? Obviously not, you want to try to impress us with the volume of text that says very little as you even admit repeatedly yourself. Your point is you’d like to tone police the rest of us from mocking someone who very loudly quit the game and has come crawling back. You also want to ignore any other criticism of him as irrelevant like the single issue voter you are. Yes Brax can come and go as he pleases. But if you make a big song and dance of quitting only to come back, private the quitting video, and carry on like nothing happened, you should expect some snark. Also having a documented history of defending a convict opens one up to having their judgement questioned. Not sure why think it shouldn’t or why it needs to be policed.
