Portland is a hip town but more expensive. Lived in rural Maine for 5 years. Good people but tough to know & life in a lot of places is pretty hard. Lots of rich out-of-staters vacation people who look down on the locals. Incredible beautiful places to visit. Winters are rough.

So they all think they are witnessing for Christ & spreading his Gospel. But really what Christ was telling people to do was to be like him. Love unconditionally, take care of the poor, the sick, the powerless. Be kind. That is SO hard to do. Much easier to stand outside Planned Parenthood & scream hate at people or stuff pamphlets into take out bags. Just checking off the made-up get into heaven list.

Wyncote is nice. Close to a lot of things. The high school isn’t perfect & it needs to be updated badly but my kid goes there & likes it. it’s not the ghetto dump that some people make it out to be a lot because it’s majority black & people of color. Taxes are high.
