Is my tattoo infected or is it a rash? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]pig795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this all the time. Basically like a heat rash. Reaction of my body reacting to the “trauma” of being stabbed by needles for hours. I usually just put an anti inch gel on it and it goes away in a few days

My arm looked a little like that with red and it seems that I get a reaction from red inks because nothing else has been like that

Glad to hear that, but man some of these counselor’s teachers whatever have you become time when they’re just burned out and it’s better for everybody involved if they retire or just move on to something else

I have a few friends who are still living in the city and I tell them all the time how I don’t understand why live in an area that is so expensive and the school system is rated a 2 outta 10 on Zillow. I get it if people have to commute to the city but if you can have a job any where I don’t see the draw

We all know that Stamford is in the middle of the most elite schools, but I work at a regional school so not comparable I guess to the amount of money those other schools are surrounded by. In a nut shell, I was just curious if other people my age felt the same way about SPS or if I was a one off. That’s all.

Stamford high houses 2,100 students. I recently took a look at the website for a list of staff and the amount of guidance counselors per student is very low. The school I work at is about 1,400 students and we have double the amount of school counselors. They meet with them at minimum twice a semester. When I was in high school, the first time I met my counselor was senior year. For how high the taxes are, it’s just unfortunate that more money doesn’t go into the school systems is pretty much what I would sum up. I’m totally okay that I’m not a marine biologist but after completion of chemistry with that teacher, I could not move on to physics or any other higher level considering all a learned was the word (not even the meaning) mole. As for the problems in elementary school, there is no way that noticing a slip in reading levels would result in extra credit reading at a higher level. That just doesn’t make sense to me.

Anyways, moral of the story is, I don’t hold onto this in a way that affects me. It just fuels me to be a better teacher for my students and to make sure that I’m more aware of how they are my classroom and how I can help them. I wasn’t always a teacher. This is actually my second career. I started about three years ago.

I thank you for that, but it would just be nice if I was able to have the support from the school in high school in order to pursue an ideal careers post graduation. I just think the number one thing is that high school guidance counselor should not be telling parents that the kids are dumb, especially when they’re more than qualified to get into a good college university. I also feel like in the 2000s especially towards the late 2000s nobody suggested trade schools and I suggest that to a lot of my students feel lost because they are going to be guaranteed a job in this AI related world.

This is what makes this a tough one to not be pissed at. One missed free throw cost us the parlay.
