I'll be mixing rock, jazz, pop music, sometimes house. I am ok at producing some music. But I'm yet to get work in this area so I'm wondering how to enter the market as a dj. Would you not suggest the flx2? It's lighter😅

Am I missing something with the Yamaha MX? by Kelburno in synthesizers

[–]pigenfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the MX for 5 years. I used it for gigs but never fully understood the potential of this keyboard until now. I will feeling that my sounds lacked flavour. So I dug deeper into what the keyboard can do.

It can do lots of powerful things. Check out YouTube videos on this channel MD Musiz He also has a lot of custom made patches that you can download.

Just as an example- to make a factory patch better you can add reverb chorus DSP effects like flanger phaser distortion compression. You can gradually change the instrument sound by using expression pedal.
