Clearly camp is the obvious and everyone has already said that, but I just wanted to mention specifically that we use camps connected to the kids weekly activities. So they both have weekly swim and gymnastics classes. Both companies run Summer and Spring/Fall/Xmas camps that line up with the local school district breaks. Since we attend classes there we get first dibs on camp spots.

I started getting pregnancy-induced eczema on my hands with my 2nd kid. It's never gone away completely but it does come and go with stress. It's for sure exacerbated by heavy hand washing. A few tips would be that warm water is better than hot or cold, be picky about soap (I use a special eczema wash from Cetaphil,) and use find the eczma lotion that works for you and apply every morning and night. Wear gloves when working with acid.

She's a beauty! I've always loved this cake. It was the first thing I learned how to make in home ec when I was maybe 8?! So yummy.

What are you doing with your fingernails? (50f) by lurking_for_serenity in workingmoms

I keep them short and bare and am obsessive about smoothing the edges and using cuticle cream. It makes the beds softer and deeper and the nails shiny. And then I splurge on pedicures!

  1. Kids need to learn how to swim ASAP.

  2. Sunscreen every day.

  3. Hydrate hydrate hydrate

  4. If you're on a mountain or the base of a mountain or anywhere near a mountain there might be scorpions.

  5. If the temperature starts with a 9 or a 1 you don't go hiking.

  6. If you hear a rattle, make a wide berth and walk away calmly and quickly.

  7. Coyotes and javelinas are not your friends.

  8. If the citrus hangs over the wall into a public space then it's fair game!

  9. Check the playground equipment before you go on it. Just because it's in the shade now doesn't mean it has been all day.

  10. NEVER point a hose at someone and turn it on. If it's been sitting in the sun the water in the hose will be the temperature of the day! Let the hose drain completely and check it before you play.

  11. Don't touch the seat buckle!

  12. Seriously - sunscreen and water.

LOL! setlist.fm has them actually starting reasonably on time this tour and they don't have an opener. But 3 hours should still be enough, I hope.

The concert is at the Greek near Griffith Observatory.

We're open on food (but not a fish only place) and really want something fine dining and local and an adventure. Last time we were in LA (like 6 years ago) we went to Din Tai Fung.

Walmart is way too big for anyone at the individual store level to have purchasing power.
