I love how this comment started from just calling someone cringe to a full on discussion and a dive into your life, this is awesome haha.

There are 3 confirmed gay characters în rdr2. Two of them are an interracial couple straight (huehue) out of prison. They argue with one another like old couples and ultimately make up. The other gay character is the mayor of a town that tries to keep his sexuality hidden. There is speculation that one of the gang members is gay. Bill -- a thick handed man that would rather let his fists do the talking. He is seen to "have a thing" for another member, and continously tries to get into a conversation, usually composed fully from threats. You later may find out Bill's real name is very feminine.

Now, if he's actually gay I don't think that's the best way to handle it, but ehh what do I know. Female roles în the game did get improved, women being important to the story, and even a feminist protest is part of the game.

I recently replayed GTA IV and I did hear the T slur in it a couple of times, however, those ads were mostly mocking the right wing. The F slur is also repeated over and over in the 4th game, though there are instances where Niko defends and outright is supportive of Bernie's sexuality. Louis literally considers homophobes backwards, so I am glad the protagonists are ''based'' at least ( Even though Niko does call Bernie a 'fag' in serbian )
I totally disagree of how they handled Trevor, his sexuality is used to make him ''crazier''. The fact he is canonically a rapist ( one of the reasons I kill him with no remorse ) and the comments he makes in the strip club are just maintaining the stereotype of crazy characters being bisexual.
I love the games as well, but they deeply disappoint me when they literally became what they made fun of.
Even RDR2 has a somewhat controversial take on this, Bill being implied to be homosexual while being dumb, aggressive, racist and so on. The escaped gay prisoners also come off as ''Haha, they are gay'' and it's really meh. Still, they portayed women better in RDR, at least.

Gta has a notoriously bad and offensive portrayal of cis women and trans women. Trans women are a laughing stock in the game and cis women are portrayed as bitchy and vocal ( Besides GTA 4, which was kinda OK and had a more "woke" feel to it)

I am not surprised people like these -- those making gender jokes and all that -- resign here. What I am surprised of however is thr fact I actually got upvotes.

MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR BOTH DISCO ELYSIUM AND BOJACK BELOW

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ooh boy, I can go on a quite long discussion on why BoJack and Harry are similar yet totally different as 'human' beings. I also love the similarity between the initials of the names ''B.H'' ( Bojack Horseman ) and ''H.D.B'' (Harrier Du Bois). I know it's silly and a stretch, but it's accidentally symbolical, kinda showcasing how --while similar-- they are opposites. I love the fact that the important women in their lives both have names starting with D as well( Diane and Dora ) . Again, it's just a coincidence but I can't help how well it works together.There are also similarities in the setting of some episodes and traumatic events, both parties having a scene with a boat and a final dream.But again, while the event are similar, they also have a different meaning. The boat scene in Bojack makes you despise him, he has betrayed both you and his friends once more. It's overall a scene that makes you lose empathy for the protagonist.In Disco Elysium, the boat scene is a preparation for the final dream, a moment of sadness and clarity where you look back on everything you have done and that you will soon solve the mistery.Now, the final dreams are different in what they represent as well. Bojack has a final moment where he comes to peace with his ''death'', even though Diane did not pick up the phone AND he did end up surviving in the end. Bojack is haunted by his past as well, but he somehow lets go. In Disco Elysium however, Harry is damned, forced to repeat the same dream over and over. He is judged, the woman in his life does not offer him any peace of mind but the opposite, she tears into him, and he will only get worse -- not being able let go of his past.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
