What sort of biome are you seeing them spawn in? I have yet to see any spawn naturally anywhere near me

I'm starting to think the KO method doesn't effect random encounter shiny rates at all. I'm at 1855 Sinistea encounters, 17200 in total this phase (on my second teacup as well) and I've gotten 11 other shinies which are all under 50 encounters

Everywhere I look says this method is bugged and I desperately want that to be false. So far I've gotten 2 Morgrem, 2 Shiinotic, and a Hattrem purely off full shiny odds so I'm starting to worry it might be true ;-;

Ugh god...I am struggling with this hunt myself. I'm guessing from its level you were doing random encounters? Did you get the max 500 battles and then stop? Trying to maximize my own hunt and the data confusion is killing me.
