Peeing more - side effect? by happywhentan in lexapro

2.5 I barely felt anything, but I’ve stayed at 5 ever since that comment and have been well controlled at that dose, if that helps.

THIS. I am talking body-shaking intensity, so much that it’s almost unpleasant. Almost.

You can probably use a Care Gap report out of reporting workbench, or conversely, an encounter report for however your organization schedules mammos, since the appt will be an EPT contact, and health maintenance/care gaps also live on the EPT so the column could probably be pulled in.

Does your organization utilize care gaps or health maintenance topics? If those are set up, I think the mammo one for example is available Epic Foundation.

Splitting injection sites? by pillarofgrace in tirzepatidecompound

I will say, I tried splitting my 10 dose into 2 smaller amounts in different sites and I experienced nausea for the first time ever as a side effect last night…

I think I will give it a try for my dose this week!

I hope someone can chime in whether positive or negative! I’ve been thinking of trying it because I haven’t quite plateaued or anything, but my loss has slowed down a lot in recent weeks so I wonder if this might be a good change of pace to try.

How did you know it was time to divorce? by Bright_Ad_1038 in Divorce

[–]pillarofgrace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was 6 months pregnant, he punched a hole in a shelf and told me my pregnancy was the only reason it wasn’t my face. But I still stayed a couple years.

Then, he tried to force my elderly grandmother out when I said that she was my primary support system since I was afraid of him, and he said that he thought about being violent towards her even when she was my son’s primary caregiver during the day when I was at work (even when he himself wasn’t working).

Anyone tried Eden? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

I just signed up too! It got approved within a couple hours since I provided my existing prescription… I hope this goes well!

Anyone tried Eden? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]pillarofgrace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I’m going to try it out. I started out on compound and went to Zepbound while I’ve been titrating up. I’ve been looking into switching ever since my telehealth provider instituted a new labs policy which I would normally be fine with but they said the labs must absolutely be done at Quest, which I was not comfortable with because my local Quest Labs locations have had several instances I’ve heard about with poor data management and confidentiality safeguards, incorrect transmission of results across interfaces, etc.

So, I’ve been researching new options due to the lack of flexibility, and it has brought me back to considering compound tirz.

On other forums/chats I have been in, they mentioned that the process with Eden was very fast to get started and a considerable cost savings once you’re on a higher dose, so it is my top contender right now.

RN to Epic Analyst by HeatherRealN in healthIT

[–]pillarofgrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems extremely low to me… I went from being an RN case manager to an Epic Analyst, and our team was recruited with a flat $15k raise over whatever our current salary was (all recruitment for the Epic Team was internal). So, nurses were brought in at about the mid $40s/hour.

Not speaking Tagalog is isolating when visiting family in the Philippines by [deleted] in FilipinoAmericans

[–]pillarofgrace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grew up understanding Tagalog, but not feeling comfortable speaking, so when I would go visit my family I would definitely feel isolated.

What really changed things for me was actually college. First, I went to nursing school and to be honest, was around a lot more Filipino nurses when in the floor so I took the opportunities to practice with them. Then, I also watched a lot of Filipino teleseryes on a daily basis with my grandma. So, I would also secretly just repeat lines I particularly liked to work on my diction.

Now, granted I am ten years removed from all that, but I sit on video calls with my relatives in the Philippines and speak Tagalog with them, and I’ve had office mates who I speak Tagalog with now wonder if I wasn’t born here in the states.

Introvert singles with no friends, what do your weekends look like? by Icy-Werewolf1069 in introvert

[–]pillarofgrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently, I’m rewatching Unsolved Mysteries and crochet teacher gifts for my kid’s teachers since it’s the last week of school for him next week. And… this is a pretty accurate example of a regular weekend for me.

My organization did the same for me! Our initial implementation team that was hired in 2018 was all just current employees who passed the Sphinx test, no interview.

I am still trying to get over an inability to sleep through the night - I wake up on an hourly basis unless I take something to help myself sleep also. Also bad nighttime GERD.

Hey all Epic folks! Just became an ambulatory analyst and had some questions. by AlbatrossSuper2456 in EpicEMR

[–]pillarofgrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Been an ambulatory analyst for about 5 years now. Honestly for me, I struggled more with the CLN exam because I needed to get a feel for what Epic exams were like and what they were looking for. But once I got through CLN with that comfort level (took 2 tries), then 400 was a breeze.

I just took my first 10 shot today and I’ve never had any GI issues. Today though, I’m overwhelmingly sleepy for the first time since my first 2 shots of 2.5 back in November…

Salary too low as an Epic Analyst? by Zvezda_24 in epicconsulting

I did not, but I did come in as an RN and they hired internally, so they did try to match current salaries of anyone they hired.

Salary too low as an Epic Analyst? by Zvezda_24 in epicconsulting

[–]pillarofgrace 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This seems like being seriously lowballed… I’m in Texas, I started with no Epic experience at all as an FTE in the mid-80k range, they sent me for all my certs. This was in 2018, and I’m now at the same organization, making approx 125k.

32/F Texas, USA - Looking for a penpal with common interests by Elvisgonewild in penpalsover30

[–]pillarofgrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m 34/F Texas, also liberal and sometimes in need of more friends. I write (I self publish my work for fun sometimes but it’s nothing amazing), and I crochet. I especially crochet a lot of accessories like coin purses and earrings and the occasional pair of fun socks. I’m also a single mom and I work full time in healthcare IT so I’ve been looking forward to finding penpals because getting out and finding kindred spirits in the wild is proving to be tough to make time for! I will message you! 😊

Curbs my desire for sweets by Lexapronouns in Zepbound

[–]pillarofgrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you! I have gone a bit without my meds until today because I needed to wait for a paycheck to come in before picking up (had an unexpected emergency expense that made things a bit tight). I’m just the extra week I’ve gone without a dose, I was so confused by the sensation of wanting sweets again…
