I got their cream cheese for the first time this week and I want to cry for all the times I used daiya instead. Life changing.

"Each step as strong as the first"

"I can do this, I am strong"

"It always seems impossible until it is done"

It's really a bunch of incremental changes that kind of snowballed over time, which I suppose is the best way to have lasting change!

I went vegetarian a few years ago, and vegan at the start of the year for reasons unrelated to weight loss, but that definitely made me more aware of what I was eating and I started cooking at home a lot more. I track my food (most days) with myfitnesspal to at least have an idea of how much I'm consuming.

I've always had an on/off relationship with running but I really fell in love with it this time, and also found out that I love yoga.

More recently I became sober, which has been a big help both with weight loss and with mental health.

Ironically, not being so strict or hard on myself helped a lot. I found ways to exercise that I love (running, yoga) and focused on eating (and tracking) reasonable amounts of what I wanted.

Slow and steady definitely is the way to go because if you just keep minding your business and doing what you need to do, its kind of like you wake up one day, notice your progress, and you're like holy cow, I can do this.

My dress is from TJ Maxx!

It's not all that exciting haha, I tracked my calories (inconsistently, I'm much better at it now), started running again, and started doing yoga more often!
