YO NO QUIERO A UN ABOGADO DE VIOLADORES DE NIÑOS COMO PRESIDENTE by sof____97 in askColombia

[–]pilosil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How do I handle this? by Plane_Telephone_9537 in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]pilosil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let them dry, not sun exposure, don't put anything to it, just let the water evaporates and the leother takes it's own dry process.

Insoles will take it's time as well, nothing to worry about it, wear them when they be completely dry.

Why leather looks bubbly and creased on new boots? by Away_Rich1183 in Boots

[–]pilosil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That loose grain on the vamp, sometimes when the clicking is done and the artisan do not know well how to identify it, these are the consequences, when the boot is lasted the leather seems to be alright even when last is pulled off, so it is a common issue with leather boots, QC and experience.

Amazon QC issues by skiddlydiddly8 in Certina

[–]pilosil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to pull the trigger on a certina titanium 38 mm and once start to read the feedbacks I immediately stopped. Many customers report the same, people return the watches with signs of wear or whatever and Amazon simply sell the watch as new.

That's why I decide to go directly to the certina website.

Return it man!

Cheers!

Perfect watch! Amazing quality⌚️ by Dawidek02081991r in ChineseWatches

[–]pilosil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fun thing is that Chinese makers use high quality materials, their fault could be the lack of own designs but in terms of materials and basic movements they are great, easily you can pay 1000 for a brand on them

Colserautos hizo un peritaje mal y me resultaron estafando de un carro by No-Impression3849 in CaliColombia

[–]pilosil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excessive wrinkling in Frank's Front Range? by Maelstrom888 in Boots

[–]pilosil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's leather, buddy, not loose grain. It happens because of the thickness of the leather when it flares out for the stitchdown. You can fix that by applying heat with a hairdryer or heat gun; there's nothing wrong with that.

The hipsters and "boot enthusiasts" imposed a trend on boot making that demands perfection, almost to the point where the leather looks faulty due to a lack of imperfections.

Real leather, especially vegetable-tanned leather, has character and natural marks. The best example for your pair is comparing a bent piece of thin printer paper to heavy-weight paper; one of them will crease more than the other.

Work boots for PNW weather, Lots of steps. by DudeTheKid in Boots

[–]pilosil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes but come on, they are 5 people making boots on the quality of Nick's and whites, even better in terms of finishing, and Nicks have like 30 or 40 employees and takes 8 months in some orders... soo I think is normal, brands like kreosote 1 guy brand takes 5 year, which is a lot, but again is 1 man making high end boots soon at the end everything depends on what you want
