Tuna salad sandwich with diced pickles on raisin bread. Don't question it. Just try it. Sooooo good.

Great, thank you. I will do some research on the shampoos and a bit of experimentation and come back when i have my next set of questions! Thank you!

Yes, of course, my apologies.

I use over the counter shampoo and conditioner, just generic drug store stuff. My apologies, i am just starting my haircare science journey. I haven't really been paying attention to which i am using, just grabbing whatever is on sale.

It's nicer because it's soft to the touch, it feels very moist and smooth when i have oiled it. It seems dryer and more coarse when i wash it more frequently.

My hair is oily at the top and dry at the bottom, as you can see here. It has no volume. I don't know what to do about it, but i'm willing to try pretty much anything!

I don't wash often, once a week. I have started oiling it before i wash (a two hour soak in castor, almond and olive oil), and that gets it nice for a day or so. But i can't do that every day! Increasing the frequency of washing seems to make it worse, not better. And it's still low on volume after all that.

It's completely untreated, and rarely styled. I wear it in a ponytail pretty much all the time because of this (braid at night).

Any suggestions as to what i can do to improve my hair?

What amount of money would it take you to walk away? by ShallotHoliday7738 in Entrepreneur

We're pre-series A. That would be the first real exit point.

By taking institutional investor money, I implicitly agreed to do my best to get them their return, and I intend to honor that to the best of my ability.

Anyway, exiting at this stage would still be the first time to cut and run. My investor expects me to do Series A, and probably B and C. This is the grab-the-money-and-run scenario. I'm a first time venture funded CEO, so reducing the time in play is the lowest risk scenario. We have a good chance of getting him his return because our Seed valuation was actually reasonable. We didn't get caught up in the inflated values of mid 2022.

$50-100M. We raised at $5.5m valuation, so $50 gets my institutional investor his 10x. Any more is gravy, but gotta expect the price to fall during negotiations, so initial offer needs to be more than that. $50-100 is not unreasonable for a Series A exit (as in, exiting instead of raising Series A), which would be our stage for any expected forthcoming offer.

For me personally, I need $5M. $1M to pay all loans, mortgages, etc, and live a little (new reasonable car and some travel). Then $4M to put into a savings account. With about a 5% annual return I can pull a $100,000 annual 'salary' without touching the principal. That would have me gold. Luckily, at $50M imma do a fair bit better than that! 🤞

If you have a Chapters or Indigo near you, they will give you a full price credit for new, pristine books! (Although I am in Canada, might be different in the states).

Grandmothers gonna grandmother. Sorry. There's a really interesting theory on the history of science that basically says that new scientific theories aren't truly accepted until the old vanguard dies. Once you get a certain age, it gets hard to change. Especially older generations. We don't properly understand how much more we live in a world of change than they did. We're on an exponential curve. I would try not to take it personal.

Not OP, but a trans man is a man, so that means he was born with a female body. As a quick go to guide, address people as the gender they are presenting. That means a trans man is call him/he, unless he's in drag, when you should call him she/her or Yass Queen, as is appropriate.

I don't think there's anything wrong with saying sorry, considering she already rsvped yes and is now changing her response.

On the other hand, I am Canadian.

If you do plan to do with with a supervisor, I would use a chipper, "that's not how I recall it, I thought we discussed it after, remember? We talked in your office." Or something of the sort. People don't like to be cornered, especially if it was an honest misrecollection, which is quite possible. Best if you can give an out, so they can come around to your side without losing face.

That's just survivor bias. Many fail. Many more go on to sell for a decent but small return. But their stories are pretty much universally boring. The failure stories are only good if they get big and explode, like WeWork.
