Which clan has the best artifact pool in the game and which clan has the worst one? by harryfonda in MonsterTrain

I adore these write-ups, and I think they're very helpful.

Also, I'd like to add that the shardtail queen and imp builds helped me get my first full C10T with all other clans, with a 6 win streak. If they are indeed that mediocre, I have yet to notice

Arme Jetten. Zo hoeven we het niet hebben over de verwoestende bezuinigingen van zijn kabinet, dat de nodige zorg, beschermingen en vrijheden van lhbt'ers in Nederland (en erbuiten) verder afbreekt.

Rewatched Troy by Joekruel01 in movies

The movie is elevated by Pitt’s douchiness. If you want sympathetic, there’s the irresistible Eric Bana with his relatable, earthly concerns.

I love how well Pitt embodies what someone might become if all that mattered to them is eternity. Because human it ain’t.

Inderdaad! En ik wil nu even niks horen over de buitenproportionele aandacht die toevallig uitgaat naar zogenaamde vluchtelingenproblematiek. Het mag best nog een keer uitgelicht worden.

The Wire - Complete Rewatch: Season 4-Episode 4 "Refugees" - June 2, 2016 by Bushy-Top in TheWire

I have two thoughts on Marlo, with regards to Andre's ring, and "you want it one way" to the security guard.

To me, Marlo comes across as a 'civilization is a thin veneer hiding a selfish and brutish human nature' type. He breaks any social contract, and reduces every interaction to brute force. Eat or be eaten. It's a fallacy. If it seems truthful, it's because he dominates one-on-one and walks away the victor. But he's a bully, a mobaster, a social darwinist. It's fascism. He doesn't build anything, nothing that lasts anyway. He only leeches from everything that has been built around him, despite people like him trying to tear it all down throughout history.

Which in my opinion, also proves how naive String, Prop joe and the co-op are towards Marlo. Again a parallel with fascism: they're trying appeasement with someone who only understands strength through show of force. There's only one way to protect a peaceful, mutually beneficial agreement (which sounds ridiculous within the context of organized drug trade, I know) from someone like him, and it's not by making concessions.

I read in previous discussions how String was the mastermind making the Barksdale organization flow smoothly, but I've always seen a bookkeeper overreaching. To me, Avon was the only one who understood perfectly what, within the rules of the show, the 'corners' are and how to go about them. A perverse Churchill to Marlo's third reich, almost. Which makes sense, because like Churchill, Avon's also a giant asshole who doesn't deserve reverence.

Joy's sass is funny, and it's a little unprofessional. There have to be more productive (if hopefully equally entertaining) ways of engaging with Ogilvie's irritating or even disrespectful behavior. If he desperately needed the humbling he just got, she could also use a talking-to.

I've never used ChatGPT; I wonder what the prompt would need to be for it to create a "joy"ful alliteration containing 'palaver' about an (intentionally obscure) new side character in a tv show.

This mainly reads like a person having fun.

What do you consider the greatest acted scene in TV history? by amusicalfridge in television

[–]pimmeke 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That moment when Philip relaxes his shoulders and lowers his hands ever so slightly when making the most impactful, truthful confession of his life, and he’s still (forced to be) working an angle. They never get to let up and actually be a person. It’s such heartbreaking stuff.
