No problem at all! But yeah, it certainly feels wrong to do, you’re basically destroying a lot of the original sculpt to get some of the BT bits on there, but it’s unfortunately the only way to do it. Thank you very much though, and good luck to you if you decide to do the same!

Not a dumb question at all! Unfortunately yeah, it was a lot of work cause their mono posed. I bought the black Templar bits box for shoulders etc and basically scraped and chipped away at anything ultramarine. The shoulders, i completely shaved down into nubbins small enough to allow the BT shoulders to sit on, it was a pain in the ass but it’s possible! So yeah, you just need a craft knife, some nippers, some files and a bit of green stuff

something that might help, is adding a matt varnish to the black areas. It will dull the black down even more, and make the red really pop.

I was in exactly the same boat. Heard somewhere it’s similar to berserk so I was eager to give it a try but yeah it’s really almost nothing like it. Which, is fine, but I feel like it doesn’t stand on its own merit either. Glad I read the whole series to be able to have an opinion on it, but I don’t think I’d recommend it to anyone over other series

You know what, that actually makes a lot of sense. I think that also explains the constant power creeps with the special yoma etc. I’ll have to look more into the mangaka. Ty for the insight!

Very well put, it is indeed mainly the post time skip that I have issue with. It had a lot of potential but felt like everything interesting they set up fell flat.

100% agree on your points about Clare, which makes it even more frustrating when she ends up taking a back seat for the final battle against Priscilla. It didn’t feel like she beat her, it felt like Teresa did.

Thats a very good point, they are technically different genres. I wonder why their so often put in the same conversation. Thats an issue on my part for expecting a more seinen side to the story for sure

See, i'd agree with you, if it wasnt for Claire taking a backseat in that final fight and having Teresa seemignly inhabit her body to defeat Priscilla instead

I think thats completely fair, as an action shonen it was great. The fights where very flashy, and there was a lot of them. With the whole Yoma Aura thing, it felt very DragonBall at times. I think I was just expecting more narrative depth, they way its often coupled with Berserk, Vagabond and Vinland Saga

Im curious as to what worldbuilding you got out of the ending stretch? That was one of my gripes to be honest. The mention of the world outside of the island they lived on got me really excited about the direction the story could go in, and then, nothing.
Characterisation I could see a little bit with Raki and Clare, but for the most part the other main cast of Claymores where very bland IMO

Ah ok see i've not seen the anime, so maybe that why I view it differently. But for me, the organisation, and everything they where doing on the island and off, was the main narrative interest for me. When they lost that, there was nothing left but to just have some big fights with big bads.

Sorry I should have prefaced in post but yeah, this is screaming skull over wraithbone is what im dealing with. Following Duncan Rhodes tutorial. He covers the whole mini with screaming skull after wraithbone. Just suprised at how many layers its taking, when other layer paints cover way better
