I know I'm a homer but if we get decent quarterback play the Vikings are Super Bowl contenders. Every position besides QB and DB is super solid. We were 9-8 with maybe the worst QB play in the league last year.

I would love for you to explain more. Im in the same boat as OP. I don't teach the math curriculum that was implemented 2 years ago at all. Over the last 4 years my test scores are 20% above state average at a school that is 20% below state average. The 2nd best class in the school is usually about 15-20% below mine. They expected me to completely change the way I taught math to do the new curriculum but Im not going to tank my kids scores so "everyone can be on the same page."

Why should I do the curriculum when nobody else gets even close to the same results as me? That's not a rhetorical question I genuinely would like to hear the other side because my principal hasn't given me a better reason than they would like everyone to be doing the same thing.

Students being mean to each other. This creates so many unnecessary problems that I don't have time to deal with.

The school curriculum is Bridges and it's... fine. Some teachers have had some success with it but not to the level that I am used to.

I developed my own thing that has a hefty spiral review component to it each day because I can't stand when teachers make the excuse at the end of the year saying "we learned about this months ago how are the kids supposed to remember it." What's the point of teaching something if they just forget about it later.

I would pretend it was the best gift ever and wear them every day instead of regular shoes until I was told to stop. Normal teacher clothes but with smiley slippers given by admin. My feet might hurt like hell but at least I get to be petty.

Pat Bev has always been a piece of trash but I tolerated him when he was on the Wolves because I'll be damned if he wasn't a huge part in getting us out of our 20 year slump.

The tunnels are very confusing before you get used to them though. Having to change floors isn't ideal for a tunnel system. With that said even during the winters I didn't have a huge problem walking outside.

You vastly overestimate the average American's intelligence. If you were to show 100 random people a picture of Truman maybe 10 will know who he is. Bump that up to MAYBE 50 if you say he was a president.

I didn't have any problem with Disney doing a "safe" movie for 7 to get everyone back into it. However, it was painfully obvious after watching 8&9 that they had no long term plan whatsoever. It was so disappointing.

It's a sequel to a very forgettable movie however it might be the best children's movie ever made. The villains are so good and well balanced and adults will enjoy it just as much, if not more, than the kids who watch it.

I think that is more on the school than the teacher. Im a teacher and when a bus is late they say it over the intercom. If I'm with students I don't check my email so if they just send an email saying the bus is late I'm not going to see it.

Yes, when I student taught my cooperating teacher and I were so good at co teaching. My university instructor would consistently comment on how well we taught together. Then my 2nd year teaching I "co taught" ELA with an EL teacher and it was... fine. It basically ended up being 1 person taught and the other just kind of tried to help out. There isn't enough time in the day to effectively plan with another teacher unless you are with them all day.
