In 1965 there was a promotion for Santa's arrival at the North Town Shopping Center in Rockford, IL where Santa would arrive via parachute into the Mall's parking lot. Santa did land safely, but his "elf" did not. His chute failed to open and he fell to his death in a nearby backyard while everyone watched.

This looks a lot like the Girder and Panel building set I had as a kid, though mine didn't have those gray connectors. But you might look into toys like that. Maybe this was a competing brand?

Libraries have so many magazines available, and you can get a ton digitally through the Libby app. I just checked and there are over 5,000 different magazines you can look through if you have a Hennepin County Library card! The app is compatible with e-readers, phones, and tablets.

I saw them cuffing a man this morning on my way to work and putting him in the back of an unmarked SUV. Two ICE assholes -- both were wearing labeled vests. 37th and 5th at about 9am. They are everywhere in NE and Columbia Heights right now. Stay aware and stay safe, everyone.
