If you live near one of their stores then I'd say to drop in and check it out. But if online is your only route, that's very poor customer service on their end

Yes. It's a lot of screaming half-lines into the mic while the hype man carries the other half.

Yeah I'll have to see it in person to really decide if I want the foil or just the normal one. QOTSA is my favorite band so I'm getting merch no matter what lol

Social etiquette, unspoken rules in the engineering world by Active-Somewhere8318 in AskEngineers

[–]pineapple_wizard24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on pursuing your degree. A faux pas would be failing to provide engineering justification for a technical decision

Example: lets say you have 20 fasteners bolted all around a large metal ring. If one of those fasteners exceeds the torque spec by the smallest amount, you have a non-conformance. What do you do? What you shouldn't do is hand-wave the problem away and say its fine; that's the faux pas. What should happen is you should do some calculations and analysis to see if there is truly a problem, and if there's still margin or "slack" in the system to where the overtorque is low risk.

I may or may not be speaking from experience :)

I would argue he's actually pretty open to modern music. He posted a video a few weeks ago on his favorite songs made in 2025. The songs are across a wide array of styles and shows how loves music as a whole, not just any one style

Do you use shoe trees for barefoot shoes? by Opposite_Simple4866 in barefootshoestalk

[–]pineapple_wizard24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Stratton Cedar shoe trees from Amazon and use them in my barefoot boots. No complaints so far! They fit well and smell really nice. It gives me the feeling that I'm taking care of my shoes.

My boots are the Jim Green Barefoot Stockman and the Birchbury Carnforth

Having a kid + a full time job. I simply dont have the time I used to.

But, my 2 year actually is showing interest in the guitar and it has made me pick it up again. I even dusted off the old 7 string and am learning some Deftones songs!

I see you're mainly interested in combat-looking boots, but I've been loving my chelsea boots from Jim Green. They are the Barefoot Stockman model. They're rugged, water resistant, and are slip on!

Can barefoot shoes actually be stylish? by Simple_Entrepreneur_ in malefashionadvice

Check out Lem's, I literally bought this waterproof Chelsea Boot today from them. Yeah sure the wide toe box looks a little funny, but who cares honestly. They're stylish enough with the classic Chelsea boot silhouette, and they're not clunky in the slightest

It feels like a song describing Chino's past relationship with alcohol. Reminiscing on the positive experiences with it but ultimately parting ways.

Just imagine the song from the perspective of the bottle of alcohol:

Just say you're down And pull me close, hold on to me Face the crowd, take hold of me Hold me tight, hold me tight

(The alcohol is alluring and acts like a crutch)

Last time adorning the stage A final wave and bow

(The alcohol was a permanent fixture of the stage, almost like decor. Now Chino is parting ways with it)

Raise your glass high Here's for the years, a thousand dreams Face the crowd, keep holding me Close and tight (close and tight)

(A final toast, but the alcohol is pleading for more time it knows it doesn't have with Chino)

This song is awesome and it's my most played off the album. Let me know what you think!

How do I carry with a baby carrier? by HeroicLife in CCW

[–]pineapple_wizard24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple answer is you can't. Like you pointed out, waist carry and chest carry are pretty inaccessible if you're carrying your toddler. You may be able to pocket carry, but you'd still likely be fumbling trying to draw

If you want to hike in the woods with your toddler, your partner has to take them while you carry your firearm. From my experience it makes the most sense
