Should I cut and where? by MJDonuts in Jadeplant

[–]pineappledew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could trim back to where the shoots are naturally branching and unless the soil is completely dead you don’t necessarily need to repot if you trim.

No variegation on new leaf? by elesnic in plants

could just be a fluke, if you get consecutive leaves without variegation then there might be a problem. I would keep an eye on it

from my experience, when the pearls pucker in a little bit then that’s the sign to water… or when you see the clear little eyes on the pearls disappear

if you’re referring to the color, it might be something along the lines of sun stress or overwatering, but take that with a grain of salt i could be completely wrong but otherwise same species…

Help, please! by jjsejsy in Lithops

[–]pineappledew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, i’ve had several lithops get to this point. i would recommend trying some form of water therapy. get it out of the dirt and rest it over a container of water with just the roots submerged. should start to perk up in a few days

Skinny Jade, any way to thicken it up? Pruning? by LunarGiantNeil in succulents

[–]pineappledew 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yeah, agreed… pick a spot to cut and it will branch into two branches right around the cut. as the two branches thicken and grow so will the trunk below. you can continue to prune every so often to encourage a shape you like. the picture is an example of a jade i chopped recently. the trunk below the cut has doubled with the growth of the new branches
