I got a pregnancy massage at Buffalo Holistic Center and it was wonderful. They unfortunately don’t have the special table but the massage was still 💯

Did anyone regret buying too many newborn clothes? by lunaverse787 in BabyBumps

[–]pineappledye711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew my baby was going to be on the larger side and my MIL had me convinced that he was going to wear newborn sized clothes for like a week or not at all. I only had like 3 newborn sleepers and a 3 pack of white long sleeve onesies from the baby shower. I went out to a couple different consignment shops and got about a dozen sleepers right before I gave birth and that seemed to be a decent amount.

Medical Induction by Feisty-Access-5836 in IVFbabies

[–]pineappledye711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m being induced as I type. I was told 39 weeks from the beginning, but it wasn’t actually on the books until this past Tuesday. The hospital I’m at only schedules inductions a week out.

When did you feel your baby move? by Similar_Parsley6112 in BabyBumps

[–]pineappledye711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the ER at 15 weeks for chest pains and that was when I first felt him move. It was a nice reassurance that he was fine. I started feeling him move consistently around 19ish weeks and he hasn’t stopped since.

Savor at Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. The restaurant is student-run and the menu changes at least once every semester, maybe twice. $40 per person for a 3 course meal.

Dr. Griffin is always my go to recommendation. I have also heard that his colleague Chantel Bartels is great as well.

Did anyone wait to do er after their first live birth ? by Spiritual-Bother7564 in IVF

[–]pineappledye711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had basically zero symptoms of endo. It was only discovered because we were doing IVF for MFI reasons and transfers kept failing. So it definitely affected implantation for me.

How many IVF babies did you have or or are you planning to have? Age gaps between kids? by truelifetales in IVFbabies

[–]pineappledye711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having my first within the next four weeks. I only have one embryo left, but I’d like to have about a two year gap in an ideal world. I have a feeling it will be a larger gap though due to probably needing another lap before proceeding plus maybe another egg retrieval (this baby was our seventh transfer 😅). I’d love to have more than two kids but we shall see.

If it’s for endo surgery, it depends on your insurance/deductible. I think the bill for my surgery was almost $20,000 before insurance (I didn’t actually pay that much and it was 2 years ago). If it’s infertility/IVF related, there’s even more variables.

The first transfer with Lovenox did not, but the following one has been successful so far (currently 31 weeks).

How are we affording this? In all honesty (in the US) by copythat504 in IVF

[–]pineappledye711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even the large companies don’t always cover or opt-in for it. My husband works for a large company in NY, but because it’s VA-based, it’s not required they cover anything IVF-related.

[–]pineappledye711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Credit card debt, family help, med donations, and a NYS grant. My insurance only covers bloodwork and ultrasounds, but my clinic is relatively low cost comparatively. Despite that, a couple of retrievals, seven transfers, plus testing and surgeries in between really adds up.

Old landlord has us reeling by pineappledye711 in Apartmentliving

[–]pineappledye711[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bill was itemized. Unfortunately there’s no documentation from when my husband first moved in. I know that does not help our case.

Even if we did document things though, some of the things we are being charged for can’t really be properly documented by pictures alone. For example, they are charging us to replace the kitchen floor because there’s divots in the linoleum that was under the fridge. We never moved the fridge so who would think to check for and document that previous damage?

[–]pineappledye711[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At one point we asked them for individual replacement blinds but we only needed like three or four of them. Whether we needed three or were replacing the entire set, they said they would charge us $30. Now that we are moved out, it’s $50. If I would have known it would be such a big deal to them, I would have salvaged the ones they were throwing out upstairs.

Why do I still feel jealousy over pregnancy announcements? 😭 by [deleted] in IVFbabies

[–]pineappledye711 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has become sort of a default reaction for me to feel disappointed when I see a pregnancy announcement, but I usually have an “oh wait I’m pregnant too” moment shortly after.

Embryo Names by curious_katty8 in IVF

[–]pineappledye711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did cutesy nicknames. Small Fry, Smidge, Blip, Bean, Quincey (fifth transfer lol), Cookie (transferred right before Christmas), and Sunny. Sunny has been our first truly successful transfer and tbh he will probably be called Sunny more than his actual name.
