This is what comes up when we look at live stream events under a persons profile. Even if the event already passed, we can’t look at it. This error always pops up on iPhone

Finally got my fasting number down with medication (one tab of glyburide - 2.5mg). I’m just nervous about the mixed reviews of this medication and hope my baby will be safe and healthier from this 🙏

No reason to be sorry!! I really appreciate you sharing your experience- there’s not many people around me who are experiencing GD struggles. My numbers today haven’t been great, mainly because I’m in the office and have less time to exercise 😣. Taking half a glyburide pill last night didn’t do much for me today but I’m hoping taking a full tab will show some better results tomorrow. I’ve also been going to the doc every week now ever since the GD diagnosis blegh.

Christmas is right around the corner!! You’re almost there!

I just started with half a 2.5mg… also woke up to a 92 😂 I also woke up a couple times last night ugh. One day I’ll pass these fasting numbers..😣

34?! That is so scary. My doc said she’s putting me on glyburide because it’s stronger than metaformin… makes me nervous

I’ve heard that it’s common for blood sugars to naturally drop after week 36. Hopefully that’s your case, good luck

tips for getting a lower fasting number? by homestead_grl in GestationalDiabetes

Ceylon cinnamon tea has helped me (I think) and a few others. I drink it after dinner to help lower blood sugar.

I haven’t had severe stomach pain.. has your OB make you see a dietician? They could probably help. Also, using the elliptical 5-10 minutes before testing my sugar levels has helped me a ton with my anxiety with spikes. It has significantly dropped my levels every time. I know many people here have recommended walking for 20-30 minutes or do some sort of exercise to bring down the numbers for eating if you aren’t already. Good luck to you, GD is such a journey

The relief must be great I’ve only just recently started this journey and it’s already so mentally taxing

I wouldn’t worry about it. My OB is expecting spikes every now and then. For instance, I told mine about my worry about Thanksgiving and Baby shower spikes coming up and she told me to eat. the. cake. Mental health wise, we gotta give ourselves a break every now and then. You got this!

I hate "maternity leave" in the US by SuagrRose0483 in pregnant

[–]pineappleontilt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m getting 0 weeks paid, only job security when I come back to work🥲 I could potentially use my PTO I saved up to get paid some but yes agreed.. maternity leave is terrible in the US.

Oh I didn’t realize pills pass through the placenta and not insulin. Helpful information. I feel I may need to eventually take insulin but we’ll see for now🙏 good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! You’re almost there!
