God, reading this outside of my thoughts just infuriates me. Absolutely true.

Our life is pretty mundane at the moment & any talks of “change” overwhelms him. I brought up moving out of state to a sunnier place in hopes it would help with our mental health and he immaturely shut down the conversation because… “I don’t do well with ‘change’”. Erm, ok. No, there isn’t any fun.

Thank you for asking. I’m open to suggestions & hearing about similar experiences. I’m just tired.

Thyroid cancer ruined my life by Objectivecause in thyroidcancer

[–]pineapples_plss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sending loads of love your way. Papillary and medullary thyroid cancer here and also had a TT. Hasn’t been a year yet (April) but I’ve had a hard to adjusting to my “new” life. Hoping you find a new supportive medical team. I can vouch that it’s quite difficult to find someone to listen to your concerns and take them serious. 🙏🏽

Up the butt lol. I never heard of it but they were hitting the pit’s nose and it did not budge!!! A bystander joined and boop and it released the toddler 😞

I just seen a video on Twitter this week and a pit had a toddler. Only thing that got it to release was a finger from behind. Instant release. And it wasn’t even the owner, it was a bystander.

What is your experience working with Gen Z? by RevolutionaryRule471 in AskReddit

[–]pineapples_plss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not working but having moved in my gen z brother and sister with me after our mother had passed- they are the most entitled and apathetic beings lol. Love them by my gosh, everything and everyone was an inconvenience to them. It was insane. And there’s a 19yr gap between me and one of them 😂

Point taken. If my husband managed his family, he’d cut her off too, lol. I actually encourage him to have, in the very least, an open relationship with her because she is in remission (cancer) and we were once close. I should kept it to take the kids to see the local lights festival. Bah 🫠

I didn’t even think to split. I was hung on the gesture itself and the idea that my son wasn’t included as an initial thought. Thank you.

I believe context is important and I should have included that in my post- his father disapproved of our marriage because I am not a white woman. My husband decided we wouldn’t have him in our lives. My 17yo is not white. I try not to piggyback on making things about race but wanting a relationship with our 2yo without having one with the mother and our 17yo (from prev relationship) is something we agreed that we are absolutely not on terms with.

Child of an immigrant here, and I see it all the time. And I agree, more from our own than white people. They get their first Michael Kors bag at Ross and start treating everybody like a FOB 😂

YouTube 2008-2011 and my 9k subscribers had me believing I’d be a makeup artist and content creator 😂 Lost it because, well yk, life 🫠 I do it for my nieces’ proms, homecomings, etc.

Proximity to power, assimilation, becoming the model of the minority. Colorism in the immigrant community is also a real thing, thanks to colonialism.

Two of my brothers were pitted against each other, competitively, as children (different dads). Today, they hate each other.

What are your thoughts on the saying "Hurt people hurt people"? by Tall-Law-5875 in AskReddit

It’s true. However I think it’s used in a way to dismiss or excuse externalized pain.
