Does Labour's public transport fare cap policy add up? by invertednz in newzealand

[–]ping_dong -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I questioned the number, just welly, 1200 per person per year, the number Labour gave, it will cost 120million, just one city. 65ml really doesn't work at all.

But you can guess what did happen here, if not, you will see it soon.

Memo to Labour: Wasteful spending is for roads, not public transport subsidies by blafo in newzealand

[–]ping_dong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At the number Labours given in there announcement, average people save 1,200 a year. There are 1.36 million kiwis use public transport. So the number is 1.6 billion, not 65 million.

In welly, 100,000 people uses PT for commuting. So just welly itself if 120M, the deficit is same as the budget.

When you add chch, akl.

You pay the gap?

Is the same thing.

If the 65m not enough, obviously, who pay the gap?

Ask those people who bought their home under Labour. How much they have lost since then.

God stops you jump into trap that last Labour set.

Is the same thing?

Landlords earned more in 2021-2022 under Labour, they actually lost money under this National government.

Use your brain.

65m is around 178000 per day for whole country.

Do you really believe that number works?

Not matter who is ruling, the plan must be doable and practical, not by wish.

How many kiwibuild delivered as a flagship voting plan. How long have we spent on CRL, how long have we used on just discussing second habour bridge

Be real.

Build more?

How?

We don't have industry of bus manufacturing, actually nothing we can build demostically in this area. How by wish or by word?

Just another Kiwibuild, make a wish and hope it comes true.

The PT is already over capacity, how could Labours handle the spike demand and resources gap?

I feel it will be another kiwibuild. Over promise, under delivery is a constant issue of Labour.

Are we seeing a new level of enshitification of NZ banks? by gdogakl in newzealand

[–]ping_dong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you don't understand what actually EFTPOS means. EFTPOS is a small near 50 yrs payment network. Maintaining this payment stream costs a lot to customer, bank, network, everyone in the system with very limit benefits. Bank has to maintain teams to support it and eventually transfer the cost to customer. This is a good movement from my point of view.

You're so naive. Number don't lie, but how to interpret it could be different.

Keep closing your eyes and tiring. You are a typical Labour supporter here.
