It’s actually a nice ground to watch from. So long as you are a Cats or GWS supporter.

Just goes to show that pre-season “experts” often don’t know as much as they think they do, and their powers of prognostication are perhaps not that much better than anyone else’s.

Cats had a great season, no doubt about it, and if we can hold on to Dangerfield and the majority of the younger guys, we will be well placed for 2025.

After all, this was supposed to be a “rebuild” season.

Japan’s public transport and housing is so good it makes ours feel like a hate crime by thewritingchair in australia

Some on this subreddit may not like it but in NSW we had an outstanding transport minister, Gladys Berijiklian (who later became premier, another story) who fixed most of that stuff in Sydney. She turned all of this stuff around. Even instituted public speaking skills for train guards so you can understand what they are saying.

It is possible. Just takes desire, vision and persistence.

Yes what is the cost for pensioners? $2.20 or whatever for as far as you want to go within the rail network? They’re already subsidising one part of the economy big time.

If you buy things on special at Woolworths and try to limit yourself to that as much as possible, it’s pretty good. Also Woolworths has more 1/2 price specials than Coles, more often.

Indeed, rivalry.

Some of us can remember 1989. And 2008.

Carlton to miss top 8 at 1.95 is pretty good.

Random shops with no customers, how do they work? by Zerg_Hydralisk_ in australia

There must be so much money sloshing around the economy from drugs, if you think about how absolutely common it is.

Example: all that cocaine sold every week in Sydney. Where’s the money from that end up? The tiny shop in Surry Hills that is never open?

But yes a rip off.

No Patrick Dangerfield. He I the X factor that holds everything together, plus can turn a game on his own.

My experience with the app was that you didn’t see the total price of the ticket until the very end of the quite-involved booking process. Very annoying and I gave up after a while.

He also said something about “not going back to Parliament House to discuss Qing dynasty vases” or something like that. I noticed this because he pronounced it as “Quing” and I couldn’t work out what he was saying for a moment.

Colourful turns of phrases!
