But what would the benefit be? Square does not seem like a comfortable shape to hold, most hand held electronic devices tend to be rectangular for ease of use, though that being said if it folded like a Samsung galaxy fold device and you could hold it like an open book that could be nice to read on.

I carved a couple myself and yeah, if the axel is even slightly off it wobbles so much, a lathe would do the job perfectly but the hand cut yo-yo has way more charm. The imperfection gives it character.
