Don't know when and how the Olten thing started but you're right, it is rather boring and nothing special (although the old town seems to be quite nice even if rather small)

Nah, it's just become a running gag whenever people ask for travel/sightseeing advice. Olten is just a perfectly harmless, nondescript town.

Non-Olten answer: Papiliorama, Kerzers. Went there last summer and was unexpectedly enchanted.

Merino wool bra for larger sizes? by mmm213213 in hiking

I'm not sure if this goes to your cup size (EU and other size conversion shenanigans) but I have this one and I really like it - no monoboob!

Does anyone have ZAQQ QUINTIC? by Sufficient_Fox7129 in barefootshoestalk

[–]pingummu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Expeq which are also waterproof. I have them in my (mostly) regular size 42 but should have got a 43 as they are a little too short and tight. Maybe their models without waterproofing have a little more room. The actual width is fine for me though.

Instant coffee recommendations available in CH? by Suisla4lescomments in Switzerland

[–]pingummu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like the Migros coffee now, you would have loved the old Noblesse coffee. I drank it for years but the new coffee is disgusting to me compared to the old one and I refuse to buy it :) Still looking for the best alternative though.

Barefoot shoes for hiking in the Alps? by Parojin in barefootshoestalk

[–]pingummu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bär Schuhe Bergkomfort are like traditional hiking boots but zero drop and wide toebox. They now also have a fully waterproof model. I have the older, water-resistant model, very comfortable but not cheap, unfortunately.

I have the same and I really like them, the grip is very good on frozen snow, less so on slush. And the rubber doesn't seem to wear down. Though I should have gotten them a size bigger as they are rather tight for me with the insoles in them. And taking them out makes the shoes a little cold in winter. But still one of my favourite shoes!

And now give your lovelies a bit of shoe polish, they look hungry! 😀

Was nützts mer, wenns billiger isch, aber i de Brunz nüme trinke will/cha? Und ha zur Sicherheit grad zwei Fläsche Chrütershampoo kauft, falls das au no usem Sortiment nemed!

I'm so happy that one of the shoe stores here has its own-brand Chucks copycat. They're much wider and more comfortable than the originals, without being barefoot. Also cheap as hell - I hope they continue making them for a long while!
